Actually, I have another question… I purchased a flight ticket for today, but there’s an increasing chance that I won’t make it down in time. Is it possible to switch it to another day?

I’m here now and it doesn’t seem that strict, but they do have a list with everyone’s names on it. I’d suggest calling the tasting room today and asking them to switch you to another day.

Flight 2 was my flight of choice (less pastry stuff). My notes in order of preference:

Marzipan - the almond lends a really nice compliment to the vanilla. A hint sweeter than regular BT but everything works really well together here.

Regular - this year’s BT is more drinkable than it should be. I’m digging it.

Maple Bacon - almost tied with regular Black Tuesday. Mostly maple syrup, not so much bacon. I love maple syrup, the first few sips were great, but this is a lot of maple syrup. Like, a LOT.

Chai Tea - this all works really well together but whoa that’s a lot of spices. Definitely drink this one last. Lots of cloves and ginger.

Vanilla - how did vanilla plus Black Tuesday end up dryer than regular Black Tuesday? Weird. Huge amount of vanilla on the nose and in the flavor but somehow the body ends up a little bit off.

I’d highly recommend Flight 2. No misses here.

Question for you Reserve society folks, and apologies if it's been answered previously, but I'm going to sign up, just deciding between the 50/50 mix or the Terreux side of things ... question is, if I go for the Terreux side, will I be able to purchase the Bruery offerings from the accompanying month?

Yes. Everyone gets the same purchase option allocations.

The only very occasional limitation you might hit is a beer you're excited about that is limited to maybe 1-2 bottles for purchase and included in say the 50/50 mix only. If you were in the mix you'd potentially be able to get a total of three between included/purchased, but if in Terreux where it's not included you'd only end up with 2 total if you purchased full allocation. But again, while technically possible, this doesn't come up much.

    Hi everyone!

I’m now enjoying flight #2, plus the other two bottle variants and wow! Vanilla is not to be missed, Marzipan might be the winner of the whole thing (and that’s saying something… Mostra and Marshmallow were insane!!!), not an accusation but I’m curious if Candy Cap Mushrooms were used to enhance the Maple flavor in Maple Bacon (it was awesome, but there is a slight distinction between the two and I picked that up with it… I may be totally wrong though), and Chai was a bit too clove-heavy.

By the way, I’m here right now, presenting female (I’ve mentioned I’m trans on here, right… if not, HELLO!), but if you want to come say hi, let me know! If you’re not RS/HS, I can hook you up if you’d like.

Got a shipper coming tomorrow... "I'm just not sure which pecan pie themed beer I want to try first," is maybe the most Bruery thing I've ever said.

Pecan Make It If We Pie surprised me because it's really not that far removed from regular Anniversary. I was expecting, good or bad, for a flavor explosion, but that's not the case.

So on one hand it's very good because Anniversary is very good. But I don't feel compelled to buy more since i already have so much Ani and I'm a little suspicious of infection risk aging nut beers.

The pecan flavor is there for sure. It's tasty and complements the base beer well. It's a touch sweeter than regular Ani but really not that much. Overall, a very mellow and balanced variant.

So there you go. It's hard to imagine any Hoarder who thought they might like it not enjoying the beer, but whether it's compelling enough to buy more will probably vary person to person.

This Big Blue Stacks is really excellent, but I think I liked the single barrel BT Blueberry Pancake just a bit better. I would definitely buy more bottles if they bring that one back next time.

Okay....Need to start by saying I'm still got luv for my Bruery HS membership. BUT, I need to call them out YET AGAIN. A Hoarder-only that is released in tandem with a very similar RS/HS beer. What's the point? I also feel like corn syrup gives a kinda low budget feel vs. maple syrup.

Pecan Make It If We Pie (HS) - Bourbon barrel-aged ale with pecans and corn syrup
Save Me A Slice (RS/HS) - Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with pecans and maple syrup

To the Societies Leadership: Please show some thought and care towards your HS membership level that was created for the people who are some of the biggest supporters of your business.

Save Me A Slice is great. Hands down winner for me over Pecan Make It.

Tons of maple, nice pecan, most notable thing is the very creamy body, which is very good in my book. Boozy but so mellow. Very sweet, not cloying but bordering on too sweet.

BA Partridge is underwhelming. Not bad, just meh for the series.

I get some extra ethanol but not really much bourbon character. And like the base last year, I would describe it as being in the yeasty side of the Belgian spectrum, which is not my preference but might be great for other folks.

I was surprised to see a new black bottle cap. Nerd alert! Or maybe it means I won a prize?

Opened up a still black Tuesday. I enjoy this a lot. Big oak, not a ton of heat. It's thicker than I expected as well. Super fun.

I want this beer broken into (2) 375ml bottles.

JR Harris is good, but overall the flavor is too subdued/subtle to get me excited about more.

It's got a thicker richer body than the other hybrids, which I love. Really mellow and balanced, reserved sweetness, very low tannin. I get more of the BT in this blend too. It ticks all the boxes but collectively doesn't excite.

This month was kinda a bummer. Lots I was looking forward to and most fell flat. All good though, that the risk of experimenting, and it's been a good year overall for sure.

While 375 is still more convenient, given it's not carbonated I wonder if you could cap and sit on the other half for a long time like you can with Portified?

I couldn't really get into Still BT, but given my JR Harris notes above,I wonder if you'd have a different take from the BT element there?

I still have half the bottle. I'll open a regular BT and try it side by side and see what I notice.
