    Hoarder's Cuvee

This is definitely Agave forward, but I did like it as it contributed to its uniqueness. I would have dialed it back slightly (but not too much as it would have lost its charm). I love the risks that this beer takes. I liked this a lot but probably enjoyed the 2023 version more and came in with higher expectations that weren't completely filled. I bought 5 bottles of this (including included). In hindsight 3 would have been sufficient for my tastes.

    Mélange 3

A few people mentioned "The Bruery Tang" - I didn't realize this was a thing? I mostly drink the stouts and barleywines which isn't something I've noticed in those styles of Bruery beer. Is that mostly for the Anniversary ales? Where else is that present? That being said there was absolutely tang in the Mélange 3 haha. For that reason I enjoyed the Hoarder's Cuvee more. I bought 4 bottles - in hindsight 2 would have been sufficient.

    Chocolate Dynasty

I like but don't love Chocolate Rain and Reign. Too much chocolate for me (not exactly my thing). But man, this was fantastic. Only bought 1 initially. This was too few. Definitely my favorite of the three.

The Bruery Tang is definitely an IYKYK kinda thing. And it's not bad! Necessarily... I think it's an extension of their house yeast. It's just very distinctive, which can be good in small amounts but overwhelming when not balanced.

I think it was more prevalent in years past... enough so that honestly I don't recall what beers I associated it with. Makes sense that as quality control and production consistency improved they kept it more balanced.

Maybe SHIT was prone to it? I thought Melange a Trois had it last year, so yeah probably Ani as the main contributor.

even then it's ok. Surprised the vip doesn't include a food ticket like before. nevertheless, the guests are a bit mediocre at most. Surprised they didn't get others like mikerphone or even alvarado. I suppose there's a better one down the road.

    OH MAN!
I loved that beer. Glad to see it back too! Most probably don't even know about this one. It doesn't look like they have the original description on the label, "Anni can you hear me...." or something like that. I miss the tongue-in-cheek humor of the old days...

Anni, are you ok? Even fewer know why this beer had that question on the label.

Email them... Though I don't think they do cancellations except in super rare situations.

If it’s because they no longer ship to your state.. not sure they have much ground to stand on there hah

Totally agree. And I feel for Bruery cause I know they got blindsided... But even more than that you gotta fulfill commitment to customers even when it's painful. Hopefully they know the bad press if they don't make it right will kill any hopes of expanding the club's footprint outside CA, which clearly they want to do.

Orange You Happy I Didn't Say Coconuts - Typical Bruery hat-on-a-hat situation. At first, the coconut was more prominent than the orange, but as it warmed the orange really asserts itself. Not sure if that's good or not, but it’s a testament to how good the base Black Tuesday is that this works at all. It's something I would normally avoid and I wouldn't rate it super high, but it's not bad.

Well I just snagged a couple more bottles, as the "naked" Bruery beers tend to be my favorite. I was a little disappointed with Double Mash too - definitely not enough barrel character and didn't live up to the memory of regular ol' Mash, but again, I always appreciate the straightforward BBA barleywine. The double double sounds right up my alley and it looks to address any issues I might have had with the regular double. I find myself really appreciating the 375 sized bottles as well (despite the price point). More naked Bruery beers, please!

When the renewal email comes out, they say to email them and say you want out. Simple as that.

So I don’t think anyone has actually told the story yet. As I recall, there was a mishap where a batch of Saison de lente was mixed into a batch of anniversary ale. Oops—but then, hey!

At least that’s how I remember it.

I am interested in why you want to cancel.

    I've been a member since 2014 PS->RS->HS-RS.

I have multiple memberships and will admit to being on the fence.
