I did hear back tonight and it echoed what has been mentioned before here: “We’re currently in the process of transitioning to a new fulfillment partner, which has temporarily impacted our ability to ship orders to certain states. Combined with a higher-than-normal volume following the recent cellar fulfillment deadline, this has created a delay in getting your order out. We are actively working through this transition and expect to have more clarity on timing soon. As soon as we have a firm delivery window, we’ll reach out with an update.” That being said, they should have already been sending out regular update messages to us all with delays being this long, and not looking to be remedied any time soon.
I think we can safely say that the transition to a new fulfillment partner was either A) A terrible decision or B) Terribly handled. No other way to sell it. The time they had to be able to easily just "ignore it publicly" and hope it resolved itself quickly has passed. The lack of a statement out in the open while they continue promoting beers and sales is tone deaf. Heck they haven't even updated their frontpage with the Cellar Request fulfillment deadline image. I love the beers and service The Bruery has provided over the recent years, and that's why this hiccup is upsetting. I just think acknowledging the issue out in the open is more professional than not saying anything at all.
This is the update I got today: "We’re continuing to make progress in our transition to a new fulfillment partner, but the process is not yet fully finalized. As a result, your order remains unshipped and is still in our queue." We understand this isn’t the experience you were expecting, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this. Please know that your order is secure, and we’ll get all outstanding shipments out as soon as we’re able to resume normal operations."
100%. Despite being a hoarder for over a decade I’m awfully close to saying fuck it come September when renewals come up. It’s just beer, but they owe it to everyone to keep us updated.
A lot of us can’t really comment on any of the new 2026 beers lol so not too much else to post about. And as others have said; it’s more about the lack of active communication. Yes they respond but there are probably others who haven’t emailed. I’ve been a member for awhile and have talked The Bruery up to a friend for years who finally joined this year. He probably thinks I have been blowing smoke up his bum this whole time.
I opened a 2025 Aloha Friday tonight. It's drinking really well, it's pretty typical Black Tuesday complexity with the added sweet coconut and very mild macadamia nuttiness. I'm definitely a fan and glad to have another bottle on order.
I opened one of those 2024 private barrel Rye BT Reserves that was on sale this month. It's delicious. A safe buy if you grabbed a set. I wouldn't say it stands up above other BT Reserve variants though. Still pretty hot despite 18 months in the bottle. Very chocolaty. It's got a bit of Bruery tang, which I don't think I've noticed in BT before. I don't love that part but also don't mind it. I hope everyone else gets their beers soon
Opened one last night, it’s phenomenal! Even better tonight after being open for 24 hours. One of the most complex BT’s I’ve had, so much barrel!
I know better than to get my hopes up... but I think I "fixed" the shipping issue by finally giving in and buying a bunch of beer from a local shop. An hour later The Bruery remade my shipping label!
No just a label generated, so technically still same status as Feb; but it was movement at least ha. They refunded a beer i bought so maybe that means they are packing it?
