https://ttbonline.gov/colasonline/viewColaDetails.do?action=publicFormDisplay&ttbid=26112001000857 Musket with Port Whiskey barrels. Looking at the distiller’s site; the whiskey is finished in port casks for 12 months.
Just got back from the local craft beer spot, they tapped a 2022 White Chocolate. It was either way past it's prime, or it was not that good start to with. I'm glad I only got a 5 ounce pour.
I just realized that I had a 2020 bottle a few months ago and had the same conclusion. They should have kept the original formula for sure.
I know I should just applaud them keeping the base Porcelain price low... But it's hard not to wonder how they possibly fit $5 worth of vanilla into every bottle to get Icing On Top, since that appears to be the only difference
I haven't even looked at the new options since I'm still waiting for my February bottles. Sorry but I'm a little bitter about how they've handled this issue.
Same here. Not spending more money until they get their shit together. When I got the private barrel program email this week I laughed my ass off. They are happy to send marketing emails but not a single email sent regarding these delays. Inexcusable.
I'm sure it was real, I just got the following update from the Bruery: "We’re happy to confirm that shipping resumed on 04/27. Your order remains in queue and will be processed as we work through the backlog of outstanding shipments."
To double-confirm; yes it was real. Package arrived today and I will be trying out All the Creamy Cows tonight to celebrate! No excusing the way this was (not) communicated; but if the delay was a consequence of changing distribution to an approach that would allow them to include cellar items in the free shipping deal than I feel it was worth it for me in the long run.
I agree, and TBH, it's not the delay that bothers me, it's how they handled the changes and complete lack of communication with the members.
This all the way. Had they said it might be a few months from the get go, fuck it, I can wait. It’s just beer.
EXACTLY. A company should be run like a company, not like a person with anxiety about facing potential conflict who just ignores it and hopes it'll go away eventually.
500ml Growlers of BT Imperial Grand Reserve and One&Dunn Imperial Grand Reserve will be available in Europe in the summer. Worth it? Both seem excessive to me at ~20% and with that size.
Whether it is worth it probably is a personal preference... for me absolutely. Sometimes the 375ml leaves you wanting more... 750 is definitely too much.... 500ml is pretty nice. But that can also depend on your tolerance... you will be toasty... but those are both great beers.
I agree with DrunkTrol, it's going to be a personal choice. With that said, BT Grand Reserve is one of my top 5 favorite beers ever. And while I agree that 500ml is a lot of 20%, I'd still buy Grand Reserve any time I have a chance to.
Like others have said, it would be worth it. Also, you could pour half into a sealable container and it would be fine the next day. These Bruery beers can last days.
Assuming they start shipping again, thinking of grabbing the private barrel package this year with the custom bottle message 'Emailing loyal members about shipping delays is hard'
