The Private Barrel program is intriguing... The custom label is fun, but not a huge value for me. Likey I'd end up drinking most of them, so mostly the 50% per bottle higher price would have to be warranted by the beer itself. Should 18 year Elijah Craig be notably unique? Is it likely these would get up into BT Reserve quality even though a single barrel?
I'm always interested in a new Black Tuesday, but I have zero interest in a special label, I definitely don't want 6 bottles and I can't imagine it'll be worth $30+ per bottle.
Flying High is (still) excellent. A notch up from regular BT. This is kinda what I assume the private barrel program would be like. Great, but not ~$10 more per bottle great.
Anyone else get any shipping notifications yet? Fingers crossed I get my March beers for my birthday this fall.
Still nothing here. I'm still waiting on my February beer. After having had Muebles recently, my expectations aren't very high for Porcelain.
Oh no, that's not good. If it's infected, which it sounds like it might be, they are normally good at replacing them.
I'm assuming they are from draft pours... so might be a line issue... and might have even gotten a wrong pour of something else by mistake. Fingers crossed. The bottles are showing as unfulfillable, so they might not have even bottled yet if supply chain is wonky again.
2023 Hoarders Cuvee drinking great. I really like the extra little bit of body and sweetness that the barleywine adds to the BT.
