The Bruery Customer Service :(

    I just became a Hoarder Society member this year and bought 2 tickets for the Black Tuesday Event for my trustee and a friend. On the email I got a couple of days before the event I noticed that the member has to be present with the guest. I guess that was my bad for not reading through the fine print in the event details. The problem I have is that The Bruery would not refund me the money or even offer me beer as compensation. If this is the customer service that can be expected from them I would steer clear. :slight_frown:

    But you screwed up and spent money that they were counting on in order to fund the event. God forbid you take some personal responsibility.

    They have great customer service, your issue was not their fault.

    Yeah, most or probably all beer festivals tix are no refunds. Still they probably would have done something for you if you contacted them right away. But a couple days before the event (or possibly after), that's not their fault or responsibility.

    its not like there are pages on pages of fine print. this is a very basic detail that you paid no attention to. your bad.

    What's really odd is how you could not know this. Every Bruery event that I have been to requires the member to be present.

    I get that a newbie, might not know this. But a Hoarder?

    Agreed. It was my bad but seemed to be no attempt at accommodation. I would have been happy with them offering to sell me either more Black Tuesday or some other variants. It was like I was dealing with a lawyer. They just pointed that the event was member only event. This was my 1st event that I entertained purchasing as I am in Chicago. I bought them to take care of my trustee as he has been sending alot of Bruery stuff which got me the Hoarders recently. This was my 1st customer service interaction so hopefully it gets better. Sorry for venting but that was $150 poof. :slight_frown: Guys in CA, you guys are lucky. :slight_smile:

    They have to be strict with that kind of thing because if they let one person slide then they have to let everyone slide then it becomes a shit show.

    All jokes aside, I'm sorry that happened to you. $150 in the pocket would sting me too, but at least you know that this will never happen again to you because u've learned ur lesson...hopefully

    I feel bad for your loss but I think you'l find in the long run the Bruery has some of the best customer service. I got some real horror stories from some of my experiences with a few renowned Breweries.

    i would rate their customer service excellent overall. though i have had one bad experience. for that one though, i've had a 100 other good experiences
