I'd say this might be pretty interesting.

The Bruery (Placentia, CA) is just launched a new nationally distributed, seasonal release, OR XATA. The new offering is based on horchata, a Spanish/Latin American milky drink, made from crushed almonds or rice.
The Bruery OR XATA is a base blonde ale, brewed with rice, cinnamon, vanilla beans and lactose, to give the beer a creamy mouthfeel.
Horchata is a traditional, sweet, milky drink originating in Spain and Latin America that has become quite popular in Southern California, particularly with Mexican cuisine. Our take on the traditionally non-alcoholic drink is a blonde ale brewed with a heavy dosing of rice, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans along with lactose for a litle extra creamy character. If you didn’t know better, you’d think it was carbonated horchata. The flavor is hard to describe, but for those who know it, you know you love it.
The Bruery OR XATA is available in 750ml bottles.
Style: Blonde Ale (w/ Cinnamon, Vanilla Beans, Lactose.)
    Availability: 750ml Bottles.
    Release: February, 2015
    7.5% ABV

This was released last year as a preservation series beer. Never got to try it so I'm glad they brought it back this year. Definitely grabbing a few.

This sounds interesting indeed. I love traditional horchata and I hope I can find a bottle of this to check out. Should be good.

5 Rabbit in Chicago just released something just like this yesterday. Saw it on the shelf but knew nothing about it.

Tried this in 2013 at Blue Palms' 5th anniversary party in Hollywood (Sorry, just being that guy :sunglasses:). It was excellent. Belching Beaver bottled one last year also that I thought was very good. Would be nice for sharing.

First tried this at the LA Craft Beer Crawl a few years back, been chasing it ever since. Glad I can finally take it off the list

This sounds delicious to me, I will definitely pick up a bottle. Elevation here in Colorado does a horchata-style beer as well, but they use an imperial porter as the base (spoiler: it is amazing).

Tried it last year definitely better than the other horchata beers that are going around

This was definitely a taproom favorite. It's a beer that's really easy to drink and I'm always wanting more.

Cool! Now if they can release Windowsill as a seasonal, and then several others...

I loved it the first time around and bought a few for later. Didn't get around to them and after about 3 months it had fallen off a lot.
If you're going to get a bottle I'd suggest drinking it fresh! (And I DO suggest getting a bottle or four.)

If it is anywhere close to last years version...it will be baller. The only problem with last years was that it started to fall off after 4-5 months....still decent with some age but not as 'fresh' on the taste. Super Excites.

Prayers answered. Now they need to throw some in a rum barrel.
