I've said "in my opinion" at least once in this thread alone. Didnt you just make fun of me for not reading? Also, I had lots of sour beer of all kinds, and absolutely love them. Again, please stop attacking people for their opinions on the internet.

Me too. I'm actually relieved if I don't care for a high-priced beer because then I know I won't be buying it again. Beers like Fruet kill me because I know I'm going to be paying a pretty penny when Bois comes out. Then The Bruery taunts me with three additional treatments.

The preservation society has included limited/tasting room only beers. It should include Black Tuesday this fall, but Chocolate Rain is currently a reserve society exclusive. Shipping is not included in the price and is limited to CA.

I like how beer made in California is way more expensive in CA than it is 3000 miles away the South East.

Our shop charges $24 for Sour in the Rye, $16 for Five Golden Rings, $13 for Rugbrod and Mischeif. We base our prices off the distributor prices, who base theirs off the Bruery prices, but I'm still having a hard time understanding $25 for a year-round 750ml. It isn't exactly a big seller.

I was lucky enough to enjoy that Smoking Wood with Apathetiq (that's what she said..?), and I'm inclined to agree. Generally though, way overpriced. Last bottle I bought was Saison Rue and it was very mediocre. Wouldn't have paid half.

Finally bit the bullet and bought Sour in the Rye. Paid $25 for the privilege. It was great, sour and oaky as I expected. No way I would spend $25 on it again though.

An overpriced beer leads to disappointment every time, so I stay away from that stuff.

Interesting. What are your thoughts on the Cuir? I'm sitting on 3 bottles of Fruet and very tempted. So far Melange has been my excitement. One amazing one!

I've never met a Bruery beer that I thought was absolutely worth the price. And some weren't worth the cost of the bottle to contain them.
But they do make some tasty beers and if you have disposable income it's not a bad use of it.

Cuir for me was a drain pour. One of the worst beers I've ever had.

are their prices ridick on top as well?

    like:
8$ for a 10 oz pour for beers
12$ for an 8 oz pour for specialty beers
15$ for a 5oz pour for barrel aged super awesome premium soured beers

I think Bruery beers are priced perfectly. I have no complaints.
