Still a little confused that if I use one taster per brewery, I'll only be able to visit 20% of the available breweries. Any word on availability of additional tasters?

That's pretty much the same as Stone's anniversary fest - 15 tasters and 60+ breweries, no extra tasters available. It also may not be entirely within the Bruery's control, it's possible that the city put a hard cap on a certain number of ounces of beer per attendee as a condition of the permit for the event.

They have not done additional tasters in the past few years.

I've been to an Oktoberfest @ The Phoenix Club and gallons of beer were being consumed by many people.

Has anyone confirmed from the Bruery that no additional tasters will be available?

While I'd love to see it, I doubt additional tasters will be available. If they haven't done it in the past, why do it now? Did they do it for their barrel aged party?

It's been a few years since I've been to the reserve party, so I don't recall - how big are the tasters? Are we talking 2 oz, or say 5 oz?

Depends on the ABV of the beer. BT and the like = 2.5oz. pours, sours = 5oz. pour.

the additional tasters thing is up in the air. I mean, they never really made it into a beer festival like this before with so many invited breweries.

I'm trying compare this to the Pizza Port Strong Ale fest. That was 8 4oz tasters that actually ended up being 6oz each. I got pretty damn hammered. So 10 high ABV would be fine if they are 4oz but 2.5 oz doesn't seem enough. I'll be done with those in 1.5 hours. That said, I bought tickets and am going regardless.

Anyone try the Sucre variants on tap at the TR today? If so, which was your favorite?

They haven't sold extra drink tickets in the past. However, this is the first anniversary party that they're going to have other breweries pouring beer. So, maybe they will offer some more drink tickets sold for whatever charity that they are promoting. This way they could raise more money, and now can blow through as many kegs as possible until beers run out.
