Word... I'm loading up on FW offerings next weekend, so having a month of Bruery RS offerings that aren't blowing my mind is definitely welcome!

May and June will be brutal on the wallet with all of the Sucre variants, then Grey Monday. March just allows us to catch our breath.

As long as it's not melange #9, and what's the deal with only offering 1 more bottle if they are concerned about too much spare stock? No where in the HS description did it say the hoarders exclusive beers that attracted many of us could be offered to basic preservation members.

I'd guess that they did the math and determined they have enough spare bottles to offer each hoarder one additional bottle, but not more than that. If it was a free-for-all they'd end up with people complaining about not getting any (see last year's post-allocation CR sale).

...and nowhere has it been said that the HS exclusives WILL be offered to preservation members.

i'm only in RS, so my email didn't have that line. last i checked, though, "may" doesn't equal "will," which is the point i was trying to make.

anyway, if you want to play that game, the society page at http://thebruery.com/reservesociety/2014.html pretty much stated that this is a possibility for both HS and RS exclusive beers, so maybe i should be asking the same of you.

Considering the low bottle counts of HS beers, I'm going to assume that if any bottles make it all the way down to PS (and if Hoarders Exclusives will actually be made available to other societies) it's only going to be because they're pretty heinous and no one bought any. They most like wont be though, so you should probably spend your energy doing things besides worrying if more people will get to experience the same things you enjoy.

If you look at the actually store website, not the email, only the two RS bottles from last month (Fume and Smooth) list the possibility of access to RS members, then PS members, if stock allows. I agree, the email makes it sound like M9 will be offered to RS, but if you check the store, this is not the case. I am guessing this is just another case of poor proof reading on the part of the Bruery (I mean, you saw the booklet they sent out, right?).

You have no point. No one ever said will, they said could. Again, work on your reading comprehension.

kind of a lame selection this month. surprising because I dont think last year had any dull months liek this. i guess they want people to spened their WC and cacaonut certifercates on ok beers since theres a time limit on using them

    Hey guys,

Melange #9 is a HS exclusive beer. There's a very limited quantity leftover which is available to HS only.

Smooth Criminal and Bois Fume - Hoarders have first access to purchase additional bottles. Assuming there are leftovers, RS will have the chance to purchase more bottles, and if there is enough after that, we may open it up to Preservation Society purchases.

Has anybody whose tasted both the Flimishmish and Cascade Apricot comment as to how they compare?

They're both great and I don't think you can go wrong with either. In my opinion, I think Filmishmish has more apricot flavor and is more sour, BUT it also happens to fade a lot more quickly. If I was deciding between the two it would depend on how quickly I would be consuming the bottle. Within the first 3-4 months of release I'd choose Filmishmish, after that I'd go with Cascade. They're both highly enjoyable though.

I'm maxed on Filmishmish and I have a feeling I'll be wanting as much as is available.
