I had a taste from somebody in the tasting room, don't think it's officially being served. I didn't love it. Though it was one sip, can't give a full opinion.

Wow. Really, I was at the Bruery TR last night and didn't even see it on the board, and the Iron Press Tap list doesn't list it...

I thought they typically send emails to the Hoarders about beers that are on "double secret probation," but this must have been even lower profile.

Two different beers. Rue D'Floyd is aged in bourbon barrels with cherries, coffee and vanilla.

One is an Imperial Porter aged in rum barrels with spices added and the other has spices added to rum barrels with Imperial Porter.

I'm pretty sure Rue D' Floyd is for RS/HS and Floyd D'Rue is for distribution (at least local distribution).

No info to back this up, but Floyd D'Rue is rum barrel aged and the other is Bourbon therefore I would imagine that the amount of FD'R would be more limited. This is based on the reasoning that since the use of Bourbon barrels is more common than Rum barrels, that bourbon barrels are more common/easy to get and therefore better suited for a larger release.

This is all just speculation on my part.

RDF is the only one of the two listed on the RS page.

Am I the only one who cringes every time that phrase is used in another Bruery beer description?

When the original message came out it had Rue D'Floyd - Rum and Rue D'Floyd - Bourbon both listed as "Society Exclusive"

One can only hope that means the Rum Spiced one is a Hoarders exclusive.

Word from the underground is that Rue D'Floyd (the one with cherries, vanilla beans, and coffee) is amazing. Hoard up, Hoarders!

Did anyone else catch the fine print calling Rue D'Floyd Black Lord. Sounds like a mix of Black Tuesday and Dark Lord. 14.4% too. This has some amazing potential. Can't wait to try it.
