I've made consuming the best CA IPAs and IIPAs a priority during the past year and am looking for what I'm missing. This is what I've had:
    Sculpin, Dorado
    Pliny, Blind Pig
    Simtra
    Denogginizer
    Double Jack
    Racer 5
    The Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, lineups.

I have the big three currently from Alpine on the way and am waiting for Citra to be produced.

I know I'll have to to to GABF or the RR brewery at the right time to get Pliny the Younger. What do I need to find next? Does Pizza Port bottle/can?

Pizza Port will start canning fairly soon. Port Brewing does bottles.

A lot of people like Tap It, though I haven't gotten to try it yet. There are a lot more very good IPAs from Bear Republic, but they're either not bottled (Apex, Cafe Racer) or rarely so (Racer X, Black Racer).

Also very missing: non-Denogginizer Drake's stuff, all of which I like more than Denog.

If you can find them, Port Brewing has some good ones.

    Wipeout
    Mongo
Hop 15 (most likely losing its hop character by now)
    Anniversary

You might also want to try Hanger 24 DIPA.

I'm a huge Alpine fan, but Societe Pupil is maybe my favorite San Diego beer right now. It's freaking awesome. Going to cost you a bit to get hold of, as the growlers are $25 stainless steel jobs & a fill is $17.

Is Pizza Port also Port Brewing?

Do the growlers hold up if shipped?

No. They have some shared ownership, but are operated independently.

Maybe try some Green Flash (Imperial IPA, Palate Wrecker, West Coast IPA)

You can't really miss on any Stone IPAs/IIPAS

Haha, okay those ones are kind of a big deal, as far as California IPAs go.

So Port and Societe if the growler ships in the near future and Pizza Port and Citra when available. I hope you appreciate how good you have it out there. People tell me how lucky I am having access to Surly, New Glarus, Central Waters, Town Hall, and Toppling Goliath, but CA is #1 in a league of its own and I don't know who's #2 and how far behind they are because its significant.

Unfortunately (for you), many of the best IPAs in CA are draft only.

Alpine is the king of IPAs. Have never tasted anything better. Fresh Nelson/ Keane Idea cannot be topped. With that being said, Societe might be the second best IPAs I've ever tried. Although I like the Apprentice and the Bachelor more than the Pupil. (All are outstanding.).

Anyone remember Societe's EveryMan's IPA? I miss that one.

Nelson and KI are both destroyed by Bad Boy.
