The Cellar at Duckworth's

    DAAAAA-YUMMMMM!!! Went to the soft opening tonight and was absolutely blown away. Duckworth's changed/evolved the craft beer scene in Charlotte years ago and has never looked back. Well, they have done it again. The Cellar, located in the bottom floor of the uptown location, infuses all that is great with craft beer, craft cocktails, and an incredibly inventive and delicious menu. Highlights from the evening include the truffled mac and cheese with panchetta, a beer/bourbon/espresso cocktail called the Morning Flip ( i think that was the name......either way, thats what my lid did when i drank it) and the tuna tartare. No one i our party ordered the 30+oz cowboy ribeye but holy shit, that thing looked awesome. I kid you not, it looked like it came straight out of a Flintstones episode. Next time i go back, that baby's mine. To put the evening into perspective, i ordered the Allagash Mammouth and in any given week, that would be the highlight of my week and it was overshadowed by everything else they had going on tonight. First class presentation from start to finish. Congrats to Rob, his entire team, and especially to everyone involved with the awesome new concept!!! Cheers x infinity! !

    Have to agree, Rob is a great guy and can't wait to get down to the cellar! Been talking about this place for a while.

    They sent out an email to their email list mentioning a JK tasting on the 19th. The first people to respond requesting "seats" were reserved spots for the tasting.
    JK is in the state already for the Funk Fest and another event in the Asheville area. Possibly a collab too.

    We have the event sunday which is already booked. Starting Monday we are open 7 days a week from 5pm until 2am with the best beers,food,cocktails and wine in the southeast. We have a draft list of epic proportions for our open and we haven't even brought out the big guns. I am the agm of The Cellar at Duckworths and I promise it is nothing but the best. Come check us out soon!

    Bumpin this up.

    We went to the Cellar last night for dinner and will echo what others have said...this place is the shit and should replace any other suggestion of "where to go when in Charlotte". Speakeasy atmosphere is awesome. Beer list is awesome (I have only had, heck even heard of, 2 of the 20 taps). Food was awesome (my wife's burger may be the best I have ever had in CLT). And the service? Phenomenal. Beers are poured at the right temps (had a Bomb! that came out a perfect temp instead of having to let it warm up). Giant teku glass for the La Vermontoise saison. Hand crafted cocktails. Oh and not a damn TV around!

    It ain't cheap but well worth it!
