So these beers being a couple years old now, what would be the trade value of these? I've been looking for anyone to trade these and I've had only one bite. And that bite seems to have fazed out, ie not responded to our conversation anymore. I wouldn't think these are super hard to get or trade for, but that could be just me then. And I suppose I don't have what would warrant a bottle or three of any, even if I go quantity over quality. Any insight from past experiences would be great. Mike
What were you offering up for them? I'm not sure what it takes to land Mirror Mirror, but the one I was sent was ridiculously good... I'd spin the wheel of fate again (there are infection issues with this one apparently) and try to land another, I'm just trying to cut down on the boxes going out lately.
I offered up what's in my cellar. http://www.cellarhq.com/cellar/Sonofalime . I've heard of the infection issues with MM but I'm still interested. And Dissident seems to be not even out there.
Unless you're really set on vintage Dissident, just wait until the new release comes out on Friday. At this point, it's been 2 years since the last release, and the bottle limits were quite low.
Well, I'm really looking to get an older bottle or two. And most definitely want some of the new release, but willing traders will be a chore. Especially if people ask for crazy returns on a bottle of the new. I'm going to keep fishing however.
Have you had the 2010 Dissident before? Why the need for a vintage one? I wouldn't even bother with the 2008 at this point.
Just to try it and possibly compare, nothing more. Never had the beer. Loved Mirror Mirror and got one left and looking for those too but Dissident has always eluded me. I mean I'm sure the new one would be awesome and with such a limited release getting those would be just as difficult since they will not show up in shops around me.
The past couple months I have really fallen into the Flanders Oud Bruin and similar styles. This is just another one to knock of the list. Plus they taste damn good. Could drink them all day.
