Whats the consensus on aging this one? the alcohol is definitely high enough on this one and the style seems right. but what about the cherry taste? is that a concern?

It ages quite well, but hits sort of a muddled stage about one to two years in (IMO)

Opened a bottle of 08 a couple months ago and it was drinking fantastically while I thought the '10 still needed some time

The cherry is still there it just becomes more integrated into the beer as a whole over time. Give her some more time she becomes a real beauty in another year or so.

    Cheers

That BB XXI that I see in your cellar spread sheet, on the other hand, is peaking. Shit was amazing last time I opened one. So good.

i had an 08 at the end of june and it was drinking amazing! had a 10 on the best after date and it was definetly in the middle stage sure. but the 08 an the 10 are pretty much different beers so theres no way to tell how it will age just yet.

btw bbxxi is definetly drinking fantastic (i like it better than 23)

I got that beer very early in my drinking career. early as in on my 21st my buddy from Oregon sent me one and an abyss that both have a best after date on my birthday. I honestly cant find a good time to sit down and sip them, i dont want it to be just any night. i have an odd attachment to it bc it is a XXI (21) that i got when i turned 21, and it ages on my birthday. after realizing how good that bb xxi is i kick myself for not getting many more. Im also waiting on the same guy to send me XXIII as well as FW 14, and 15.
