For all the talk about the sustainability of craft breweries of all sizes I offer this article that I ran across that shows how the Stroh's family ultimately killed their own multi million dollar company through a series of bad decisions. To me the article drives home the point that no matter how big the company or brewery it can all come crumbling down under the wrong management. http://forbesindia.com/article/cross-border/blowing-away-a-$9-billion-business-in-one-stroke/38321/1
Just one of the completely unsubstantiated nuggets of wisdom from this article: “At that time [late 1980's], there were four big breweries in a three-brewery industry—there was really only room for three.”
