You can't find Westbrook Gose on store shelves in your immediate area? It won't land whales, but it does land GOOD locals, easily.

Try trading with someone on the west coast.

Yeah I can find it just about everywhere. Which I guess is why no one wants it..everyone wants MC or some whale.
rarest thing I've asked for is some treehouse stuff. no one would would bite when I was offering westbrooks BBA oud bruin. I'm sure eventually someone will want somthing I can get here that they can't..

Double Sunshine is my white whale. I've had Sip and Triple Sunshine but never Double Sunshine. Ephraim is also one I'm dying to try...Abner to a lesser extent.

KBS and CBS. Sure, I know some people say they won't live up to hype, some say they will. But I want to be able to complain for myself that they don't live up to the hype ... just kidding, Im sure Ill love them, and never get to taste them again.

Evil Twin Imperial Doughnut Break. Every time I see it in a bottle shop I pass on it for some reason. Then without fail, I have a change of heart the next day to go back and get it and it's always gone the very next day.

There are a ton of whales I've never had, along with quite a few that aren't really whale status, just not readily available due to regional issues or limited releases. I remember working so hard to get Heady Topper and then thinking "Meh, it's good, but not anywhere near worth the hype". I finally had Dark Lord over Christmas. It was very good, enjoyed it immensely. The beers I haven't had is quite long. I did some trading over the last year, but honestly, I'm tired of the cost.

I'm on a new "Enjoy what I can get and quit chasing whales" mode. My pocketbook is happy, I'm happy, and I'm still drinking great beers. I'm even going to fire up the kegerator which has been dormant since I got on untappd and started trying to get as many unique beers as I could. Now, when I go out, I look to see if anything new appeals to me and, if not, I just order an old favorite. I honestly think that, on average, I'm drinking better beer than before and spending less doing it.

Ironically, this all left me in a position that I didn't feel guilty forking out cash for DLD. I'm sure I'll get to try a bunch of new beers there, which will be fun, but mostly I want to experience the event and take home a few bottles of DL.

You get heady in SoCal (albeit a rare event)? Thats' crazy to hear. I've never seen it anywhere in NoCal unless I'm not going to the right spots.

I can float you a couple pliny $4$ for some westbrook Gose my man. It's the first Gose I've ever had, it turned me onto the style and I would love to have a little more. It'd be great to expand too if you PM me and let me know what else from California you like or give me a list of some of the other hard to get stuff you're seeking (I could work in a KBS maybe or something else nice).

Mostly beers I used to have access to over the long or short term which then disappeared.

I'm still hoping for the return of Timothy Taylor Landlord, Coniston Bluebird, and Samuel Smith's Organic Best Ale to my local packies but I'm not holding my breath.

Fou Foune for sure. I've had a couple of trades fall through for this and I've narrowly missed out on purchasing this. Hopefully I can secure a bottle of this in the near future because the 2 ounce sample that I had 2 years ago isn't enough.
