I've been to Maine a million times and for some reason, I never seem to end up with beer from Maine Brewing Co. and Allagash (it's usually nationally distributed beers that I can't get in New Brunswick)! I'm headed down to Portland sometime this summer and will try to hit both breweries.

I've also been after some Pliny the Elder for a long time (unsuccessfully)

KBS is one that first comes to mind. I guess if I had extra time to wait at bottle shops or sleep with the female managers, lol, I might have better luck...

Being that you're in SD. You're not missing out on all that much by not yet catching Heady. I'm assuming your first reaction after slaying that elusive beer of yours will be "That's it?". Good luck on your quest.

Sip of Sunshine would be nice, Focal Banger too. Now that my sons stationed in WA state with my twin granddaughters and not in upstate Ny, Vt is 5000 miles away.

Traded for it last year, amazing, it's a resin bomb. I would definitely purchase it on a regular basis if it were available in Ca.

Three beers I would love to try but have never really made an effort to acquire are Founders CBS, Toppling Goliath Morning Delight and Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout.

It's all over L.A. right now. I've seen it at several shops, but I buy mine at Bill's in Atwater Village.

I'm fortunate to have had many beers mentioned here, along with others that I wanted. CBS blew my mind (I grew up making maple syrup with my great grandfather, so this one was very special).

I keep it relatively "non-whalez" when it comes to beers that I try to score.

That being said, BA Ten Fidy is proving difficult for me to get.

I'm always asking about Sip of Sunshine. Most places around me only get 1 case, 2 if they're lucky, and they limit how much people can buy. They still often sell out in an hour or less. I need to start making friends with the beer guys at these places so they can put some aside for me some day.

My stepdaughter bought me a bottle of Brewmeister Armageddon for Christmas a couple of years ago. Cost $120 and had to be shipped in, of course. I waited 2 years until she could come out from California to open that bottle... no way I wasn't going to let her try some. For a beer that says they're 65% it sure is freaking smooth. It got me feeling good but somehow I'm not sure if it really was that strong.

Love to try End of History, though, that's for sure.

Heady is only sent to a handful of retailers in VT throughout the week, for example limited numbers are sent into Burlington on Tuesdays and Thursdays making it difficult to get unless you plan on waiting in line for an hour or so. I myself haven't done it but I have friends and family who frequently buy it.

I spent last month in VT, and this was my key to a steady supply: headyspotter.com

I am a tripel fan, easily one of my favorite styles. I do like regular Damnation as well pretty solid.

I emailed Russian River about this asking when do they normally release this and I got a very odd answer in that they don't really have a schedule or specific time when it comes out.

As for Barrel aging I am not big on it for this style, but have certainly had plenty of products from Russian River that have been exceptional, and would definitely would like to try this brew.

None really. I have a mental list if sone beers I want to try but don't go looking or trading for them. If they pop up great if not oh well. I have found that most beers are not worth the effort and there is a common beer that is close for much less $ and no work. Works for me. If I made a few 100k a year it might be a different story

    Enjoy

So I should be looking at the batch on Damnation when I see it? I like it but at 5-6$ a bottle I just walk past every time.

    Enjoy
