One Bevmo in the southbay had them at the register, limit one 4pk. Another 10 mins away had open cases on the floor. They're funny that way.

LOL @ people lining up at a BevMo. Those must have been some confused employees.

Got mine around 1. No line. Still lots of their sours sitting there, just like the BCS used to. Surprised they aren't part of the hype.

The day I have to wait outside of my bevmo, is the day I quit playing this game.

Is this something we are going to see on somewhat of a regular basis, or this this a one time thing?

I agree the price was steep, but didn't find the variants anywhere else. Churchills had all three available for on site and to go, 5 bucks for a 4 ounce pour or 12 bucks a bottle to go.

I thought City beer did an awesome job with the release. The staff took care of the line with donuts, pastries, coffee, and they even popped a bottle of 2011 DL for the people in line to try. Prices were a surprise as well, so no complaints on my end.

Did they sell you the coffee? I was told only original and Barleywine were available to go.

I only asked about the BW, but after the 12 dollar price tag I passed. I guess I assumed they had all three.

Only Barleywine and regular were to go. Not coffee.

Missed out on Adam's Fine W&L mixed 4pk. Luckily, I got my BCBS 4pk from BevMo before heading to Adam's Fine W&L.

Why you gotta call me out?

Wish I could've made it into the city - $50 for Rare is unexpectedly good. Had to settle for a couple cases of the regular stuff...

I don't get this no limit thing. Are San Diego places simply reacting to a much higher percentage of beer geeks, or is it that some of these places elsewhere don't care?

I actually think it has to do with the staff/beer purchaser. Ones that know the hype have been putting limits. Others just think it is another beer and put it on the floor, figuring since it came from inbev there will be thousands mmore where those came from

You are 100% correct. It's based off the beer buyer. As for some bevmos they care alot about UPT(units per transaction) they have weekly competitions on UPT. So the ones that care about UPT will be more than happy to sell a case of bcbs since it'll give them a 6 UPT transaction
