Next year they should drop the limit from 3 to 2. These lasted until about 4:30pm yesterday. Would have been nice if the working crowd would have had a shot at bottles, by pushing the limit back to 2 it probably would have enabled others to share in the fun through Saturday morning without impacting Half Acre's bottom line at all....Wouldn't you rather have more satisfied customers?

Damn that was good yesterday.... Got there at 12:15 after lunch at Tacqueria Asadero, saw the line (eff that), got a 10 oz pour of Benthic, another few of other stuff, left my seat, grabbed one of the last few bottles, came back to my seat, had another draft pour of Benthic. Left at 4:15. Thank you Friday.
    Cheers all! *burp*

I'm an 11 hour Monday-Friday working class stiff myself living out here in Denver now. If I could secure 2 bottles there's no reason anyone else couldn't (humble brag I know but in all seriousness...).

No, not at all. 100% serious. Let me put it this way... I have a lot of hardcore beer nerd friends still living in the Chicago area who don't give 2 flying fucks about flipping bottles for prophet or trading for other big time whales. They'll send me bottles/cans of whatever as long as they can secure them and I return the favor. No hidden objective, cost or any other bullshit that some people will throw out there with a big "whale" release. Just sending beers back and forth between friends.

Benthic still on draft for today? I would rather not read through the thread to see if/when it kicked.

You probably need to specify which location as both have it on draft. According to the HA website it is still listed at both Balmoral & Lincoln. HA does a pretty good job at updating their website fwiw.

I went to the Lincoln taproom at 8pm last night. Bartender said both taprooms kicked about an hour prior, and that the only Benthic left is pouring at FOBAB. YMMV...

Interesting. I'd check those draft listings closing to opening today then or even better, call them to confirm.

Good times. Good beer. Would wait in the snow again.

Also: the glass is p. Choice.

No, the problem was people going through the line multiple times and HA not giving a shit about it. I was sandwiched in between a guy who was going through a 3rd time and a guy who was going through for a 2nd. The greed is annoying AF. HA’s indifference to it is upsetting too. And it sold out around 3 not 4 btw.

I do the same thing. None of my friends care that much. They just want some cool stuff they haven't tried and stuff they cant get in their region.

Damn that went quick. They just need to start brewing and barreling more... Aw well. There's always more beer. Enjoy your weekend.

Yup. I overheard a guy who was a few people in front of me in line bragging about it being his second time through, "because there were still tons left" (~1:30, so something like 30 cases left at the time). He was texting his friends trying to get them to come back. I told him to save some for the people that can't take the day off.

I don't think that was too common though this time. I'm sure there were a few, but from the people I talked to in line, everyone was cool and happy to get their alottment.

Had these folks ditched their first allotment before getting back in line? Or were they just rolling back into the HA shop with their first set of bottles in hand.....

Didn't have bottles with him, so assumed he dropped them off in his car or something.

Most of the folks I was in line with just got their 3 and either called it a day, or went into the taproom for pours and lunch and warmth and camaraderie. I didn’t partake in the bottle share during the line; however, from what I observed, people were being very generous and friendly.
