Thanks man! Just got there and grabbed two bottles of each variant.

Pretty pumped that HA has gotten supply sufficiently in line with demand that these beers no longer require lining up before open.

Can't tell how much they have left, but it looks like a decent amount of each.

Just biked over to grab a couple bottles of BA. Zero line (like...none), plenty of everything it seems.

Hmmm. Might need to go grab one of this big hugs glasses.

I’ve not been a fan of their regular glasses once they got rid of the squid owl. The big block HALF ACRE.

Shit. Gotta work, and they are closed tomorrow (of course). Tuesday, then.... hopefully they will have Fluorescent on tap for a bit.

This is one that I still need to try since I love me some Nelson hops. I was hoping it would be on during Big North but sadly, no.

Did they end up selling out of it already? My assumption was yes, but curious. Also wondered if Flourescent cans are gone.

Just left there at 7PM, plenty of Floursecent and Big Hugs cans, as well as Orin, Vanilla and BBA Big Hugs. Could also taste these and other offerings. Great beer folks working and attending. Loved Half Acres' release today!

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed the Lincoln release. The Balmoral taproom was a great time as well. I thought Cinnamon Vanilla was incredible, Maple BA was good but VERY sweet. Cheers to everyone at Half Acre.

Half Acre crushed the BH release. Everything was fantastic.

Wonder how much the successful release of Big Hugs was due to Half-Acre planning and organization as opposed to everyone being broke from the money they've spent on all the great stouts that were released in a short amount of time just before the Big Hugs, and therefore the line was much shorter than usual.

...and maybe the demand being lower due to the sheer volume of better (my opinion) stouts in Chicago?

What happened to Sailor’s Kush? It was replaced by Fluorescent this past weekend and a Tired Hands collab IPA is being released Friday. Did I miss it?

I heard that it just wasn't done fermenting when they expected. Maybe a double release Friday?

    All the above.

Plus they said they made a ton of it this year.

I dunno, if demand was lower this year, there was still a shitload if demand. Keep in mind even Benthic lasted a few hours after open.

Besides, we all know beer nerds are "on a budget" right up until the day a new beer hits, and then magically they find a couple bucks.

Stout season fatigue is real. That said, I think the fact that they made plenty of the variants, moved regular to 4-packs, and split the crowd between tickets and a line made for a really well run release.
