What are the odds GDDC hits Binny's Grand today? 50/50? 2:1?

I was one of the unfortunates. I figured I'd be able to walk right in. An hour later. That said the retail store just re-opened and they've gotten much better.

Just had this for the first time today and I have to echo the previous comments. This is a great lager. Enjoying one on my back porch now.

Also had Toxa and Plus Ultra this visit. Toxa is an “IPA lite” that was super juicy and flavorful for the low abv. Loved it and hope it hits cans. Plus Ultra was similar to previous sours. Tart and dry. Can’t say enough good things about their Wyld program. Personally my favorite sours in the city.

They still had bottles of Plus Ultra and quite a few different cans for sale which is awesome. Loving all these cans and their availability. And I can’t wait for the Taco Day variants coming out.

Had a GDDC last night right after an M-43 and my initial reaction was: oh no, I don’t like this beer anymore.

So, I drank some water, let the GDDC warm up a bit, and came back to it a little later. My reaction then was - damn, this is a fine beer. Great resiny funk comingling with tropical citrus.

I've gotta start changing my annual vacation so that it doesn't interfere with attending The Big North. I somehow managed to attend in 2016, and now 2017 & 2018 both are on dates where I will be out of town.

We were pouring next to Half Acre at the Mikerphone fest, that event in October sounded amazing. I'm very excited to see what its all about.

I already booked trips on Big North weekend and the event in October :expressionless:

May have to stop in next Friday since it looks like they will be pouring all their wild beers.

...if I can manage it, I'm totally crashing BN 2018... that was so much fun last fall. Just need to find a legitimate excuse with my wife. "But honey, there's an important one-day writing workshop there on Saturday!.." or some such. Wish me luck.

Funny, I had M-43 and GDDC this weekend as well and had basically the same experience.

HA beers have always been one of the most temperature sensitive beers out there. Right out of the fridge they taste like brewing grains.

Not sure about that, but I’d agree that HA beers shine at 50 or 55 degrees.

Don’t drink NE beers before non NE beers. The newly introduced bitterness of the non NEIPA distracts you from the flavors of the hops.

I dream of the day that HA makes this a year-round release, and I have to sell my car to afford my yearly supply of it.
