I actually prefer Balmoral since it’s more relaxing (my move is to often pop in for a bar seat so that’s easier away from Lincoln). The taplists are usually a little different so you can make your call based on that if you want

 

I have to jump on the Dungeons train. I bought a 4 pack yesterday and it's definitely the best HA beer I've had, and thats not a knock on the other beers. Its just damn good. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

 

balmoral is several minutes closer and the taplist looks great to me. Again, appreciate if I can get answers to my basic questions, can i get small serving sizes or is it a .5 oz. taster with a frown place? also, the bottles listed are to go? I dont know the answers or what the laws by you are

 

I can’t answer your taster question but you can order half pints without a frown whether it’s listed on the menu or not.

 

Dungeons has a “creamy” mouthfeel. Very NE taste without the haze. Very good IMO

 

You can get tastes of things, they've got a great staff who want to share their beer with you. What bottles do you see listed?

 

New sour with TRVE is awesome. By far best sours in the city.

Isn't that always how it is though? Most DLD headliners aren't to my taste, but they're usually fairly well known. I thought part of the charm of Big North was that they're smaller bands and a lot are local.

 

And sometimes (relatively) unknown bands put out good music even. Most everyone's favorite band was likely unknown at some point. Well, except for super groups, of course.

BTW, for anyone interested and unaware, HA released another batch of Preen this weekend.

Loam and Bon Hut are onsite consumption only. HA did just release Path of Nomad which I know is available to go at Lincoln (2 pp). Perhaps it can be purchased to go at Balmoral too.

 

getting tastes of things .2 ml is not like a fullfledged flight to get a taste of things.

 

I'd use the Lincoln Shop page as an indicator for what's available to go, though not necessarily a perfect one. The Drinks page is about on-site consumption. Others have already replied, but Loam and Bon Hut wont leave the brewery.

Two bottles on site at each tap room, only one listed as to go on the shop page. The shop page is the store that handles to go items, so I'd use that as a reference. When in doubt, call them.
