Yeah, Daisy Capra was kind of a dud. Perhaps it is just DDH DDC?

 

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm always really amused by how obtuse HA's descriptions of these sorts of beers are. Like, you really have to work for it to figure out what they're trying to get at.

 

I was thinking it was code for DDH but in the way Rev did theirs

 

Spoke to someone in the shop yesterday. Fully-Saturated will be similar to how HA brews Preen. Same yeast strain and then carefully controlling temperature during the brewing process. Looking forward to this one because Preen is fantastic.

 

Are the releases today hitting distro?

 

No kidding, I was literally just wondering yesterday when DDC would be released while looking at some aging HA cans at a Binny's....

 

DDC is. The others are brewery only. Well, Den has been brewery only in the past anyway.

 

anyone try FSDDC yet?

 

Swung through HA earlier. If I heard right, Fully Saturated uses a Conan/London III combo with a protein rich red wheat added to the grain bill and the normal Daisy Cutter kettle hop additions were pushed to whirlpool after its been cooled to ~140F. Bio hop addition added when yeast is pitched, then its dry hopped 2 more times.

 

From the few pictures yet on Untappd, fully saturated looks totally different. I'll swing by in a few hours and provide a more detailed review.

Much higher than anyone I've been watching this season.

 

FSDCC is fantastic! Limit 1 case but $20/4pk.

DDC has been released twice a year in the past with the addition of the GDDC release but I don't recall DDC ever being brewed quarterly.

 

Why is is it so good?

 

This is what passes for journalism these days. Receive press release and print as news...Would have been nice to know the "why" behind DDC going from a few times a year to only once this year....

 

I really enjoyed FSDDC. More hops come through than DDC. Much lighter in color than DDC. If I were in regular buying mode, I would’ve bought a couple 4 packs of FSDDC.
