Given that I've already made clear my feelings, it seems redundant to do so again, but:

    1) I think GDDC is the more unique of the two, but
    2) I think BHA is better.

I was pleasantly surprised by how hazy this year's BHA was; I didn't remember it being quite this opaque (although it certainly could've been). While GDDC is a little more unique in its profile, I think BHA is more refined. It's light and easy to drink, but has very little bitterness.

Either way, it's been a great few weeks for HA fans. With that being said, if they don't start canning their special releases again soon, I'm going to be pissed!

MY mistake, I thought the GDDC was a month ago I'm not real big on hoppy beers falling off that fast although for most IPA's I won't buy if their past the 3 month freshness date (3 month Bells Two Hearted is fine IMHO) depending whats on the shelf at that time.
I had Pipeworks Sure Bet a couple days after bottling....excellent and sat on one for a month, the fall off was very noticeable.

some ipas and pale ales totally fall off in 2 weeks. 2 week old anti hero and zombie dust are much different than 2 day old. i personally thing 4 week old either of those beers are undrinkable

Seriously? A month old and it's "undrinkable?" I mean, it's not the same flavor profile to be sure. But undrinkable?

Normally I would agree with you, but month old zombie dust is almost undrinkable. I'm not sure what's up with that beer, but after only a month, it tastes like a a complete malt bomb.

as someone who has drank a few hundred Zombie Dusts, I won't purchase any over 3 weeks old. Yum Yum is even worse. Falls off after 2 weeks IMO. No trolling either.

Just left the shop and there are plenty of BHA bombers available. This stuff is delicious.

My BHA bomber is much less hazy than the growler pours I had last night. Still great obviously.

Both pours were from roughly the same time of day with the same amount of natural light.

Growler pour yesterday (I don't currently have a HA growler so I posed it with the bottle)

Well shit, guys, now I'm a little sad I've only got my bombers left!

Same taste for both, or is the growler (I'd assume) better?

TBH it wasn't the same beer out of the bomber. It was a perfectly good IPA but on draft it was much more juicy. This was as stark of a tap vs bomber difference as I can recall for an IPA

Had Beer Hates Astronauts about an hour ago at the Taproom. When I got there at 10, people were leaving with bombers.

I thought it was pretty good. Nice hazy look. Good nose.

I got the same aroma and taste from the bottle compared to the growler. I did think the the growler pour had an increased mouthfeel and preferred it to the bottle, but both were/are great.

Very weird, I'll probably have to open a bottle tonight. I'm wondering if they left the on tap version unfiltered and whatnot.

Can Half Acre fill the HF 2L growlers? I remember an issue with the shape / width of the 750s. Wondering if anyone filled one recently. Thanks.

They filled a 2L Russian River one for me today without any issues, which I believe is the same as the HF ones?

The visual difference between the bottles and the taps is striking. I do not have them side by side for comparison but it tastes just as juicy as I remember it. Definitely no haze from the bottle though. Just a bit odd I guess.
