Big fan!! Mouth puckering but love the fruit. I grabbed 3 bottles.

 

That dbag J Wakefield has Boss Tycoon on at Balmoral if anyone wants to try his sub par adjunct heavy stout.

 

I think I'm done spending energy on Benthic. Until they get some more registers, it's just not worth it to me to sit in line for hours. The little "hangout" area was very cool, though, and I wish they could come up with a way to get the people who haven't checked out in there; would make the experience way more pleasant.

Cay Hut is really good, I was impressed.

 

Double barrel benthic is a mastrerpiece. I have no bottles. I now have to get bottles. Dammit.

 

I think it didn't help that they're handing out samples at the door AND at the pour bar and walking you by the to-go cooler as well. I get that you're trying to make sales (I mean, I bought a Cay Hut too) but it slows things down and makes it more painful for the rest of the line waiting outside cuz we're just shuffling along in the cold. But the single biggest problem had to be that there's only two (sometimes three) people doing checkouts , so that's the first thing that's gotta be addressed to speed things up.

Now we knew it was going to be cold, so we only have ourselves to blame, and we can leave anytime, but still...

The worst part was 15 minutes after sales started, and I'm thinking to myself "you know, I didn't check if there was a hydrant when I parked in that one open spot on Berteau..."




There wasn't.

 

Anyone know if variants will be poured elsewhere? I have tasted neither, so am curious. (no I'm not Fobabbing)

So,

After release I headed to Balmoral. Talked to a dude who said to me - "They didnt control the bottles...me and my gf took 6 bottles each of Double Barrel and Double Dose respectively"..given the relatively similar wax....AN OVERSIGHT on HA for not checking...poor 6 people who got screwed by this couple on double barrel

 

Yeah...fuck that guy and fuck him for bragging.

 

Maybe one case left....... Red alert

 

I figured I was about 10 back when Double Dose sold out. Since they had the bottles sitting on the floor and let each customer grab them this was bound to happen. Not surprised but disappointed

 

This was extremely poorly run. I stood in line for 3 hours for 3 bottles of regular.

 

Any supply of regular still available?

 

Well fuck me. I was 4 people short.

 

Sold out. There will be some in distro next week.

 

Yeah, that's pretty shitty...I think that was an isolated incident but shame that people have no decency.

 

Y'know these damn breweries need to realize it's the craft beer community that supports them to these great heights. Without our community filling their tap rooms and plunking down $100+ on releases they'd be nobodies! Oh shit, I can sneak through with 6 variants AND rip off Half Acre by getting under-charged??? Fuck the community and Half Acre I got mine, suckaaasssss!!!!!

 

I naively thought they might have a new system in place to make things go a little faster. I know they're hamstrung by the space they have, but they've gotta tweak things as gets bigger and bigger.
