The Half-Acre thread (2018)

Sorry, I was a little vague initially (I realized after posting). I'm not interested in the Whole Enchilada (I don't want regular BH or the quantities of variants they're offering in the package deal), just wanted to pick up a 4-pack or so of each. If the stuff hits distro, I'll check it out then.

Yeah, Big Hugs + variants isn't a "spend $200" beer to me. A couple bottles (4-pack in this case) of the variants would've been enough for me, and I don't want the regular. More power (and beer) to those for whom it is, though.

 

A man can dream though...Rev and Half Acre having western suburb locations would be amazing

 

Enchilada is pointless. The place was stocked with no line last year an hour or two after opening.

 

How many Enchiladas for a Benthic allocation?

 

I'm glad they have the enchilada option. I'll be out of town on Sunday so i don't mind overpaying a bit for stuff i want. Plus waiting in line sucks.

 

Same here, I do not do lines and I love this beer. I like having the option of going into the City when I want as well. Totally worth it for me...

 

Wish they had a Half Enchilada option - the Whole is way too much beer in this crowded marketplace, even if it's a very good beer.

 

A mini enchilada if you will.

So the whole enchilada sold out?! I was hoping to split it with someone.
It was pretty easy to find in distro last year, but what are the chances of picking some up at Half Acre after 12/2?

Just got in line at 11:20. Seems like they were prepared for a much larger crowd than their actually is. I got wristband #32 and ticket 179. Maybe we’ve peaked on stout releases?

 

1) Everyone blew their wad the last few weeks.
2) Big Hugs ain’t no Benthic.

 

I think this release would've been crazier at Lincoln, but agree on both points.

With that being said, the Maple BH is pretty nice, and BA has grown on me.

On the other hand, I got what was probably the last seat at the taproom at 11:10, which is peak HA.
