    It's not a stout.

edit: In the interests of being fair, I'll mention that that's part of what turned me off initially.

This might be semantics, but I thought it sold out early afternoon on Saturday, which would be more like just over 1 day, as opposed to 2 full days. Regardless, I was surprised that it last overnight as well, although @SeanBond probably nailed it as to why it lasted so long. I thought about going up to get some, but I had family in town an the combo of me getting away and not needing to spend money on beer (and knowing I'd be going for Benthic) made me stay home.

It sold out around 1 on Saturday. I was in the city very close to HA for something from 11-1 and was monitoring it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it, because as I was leaving they posted on Instagram that they'd sold out. I'd say selling out in just over 1 day for something that's not a stout is pretty impressive.

Yeah, the other reason I didn't get any was because I left town Friday right after work. If it were a stout I'd probably have made the effort, but even as it is, I'd have gone over were I in town.

I'll grab some of it, but that's not the release announcement I've been waiting for.

Wish they would bring back cans of DDC. In bombers?

Pass. It's just not worth the money per ounce.

Orin is still going strong in the tap room, had one tonight. It's delicious and very well done. Now I can't wait for Benthic.

I wish they would bring the cans for sure. Not for price per ounce but because it would be great to be able to pick up 4 and drink them over time rather than open a bomber and have to finish it.

I never had it when it was in cans, but it seems like it'd be beneficial from both standpoints - cost and ability to drink it at a better pace. If they priced a 4 pack of 16 oz cans of this at $18 (which is pretty high for that format, but I'm being conservative), that compares to $30 to get right around the same amount in bombers, right? So, I prefer to look at that cost perspective of total cost where it's over a $10 difference ($18 vs. $30) as opposed to cost per ounce, which looks like pennies ($0.28 vs. $0.45).

Agree - it's probably better to get a 4-pack but I don't mind a bomber all that much. One advantage is you could get just 1 or 2 bombers, whereas to get cans you have to get the 4 pack.

It's like they're forcing beer on us when they can it!

Yeah, the option to get 1 bomber is obviously nice, and spend less total $$. But, if you're going for 2 bombers, you're probably better off with the 4 pack ($20 for 2 bombers vs. $15-18 for a 4-pack).

Had a taste of DDC on Saturday. Excellent batch coming. Tasted juicier than past DDC batches. Got lots of tropical fruits on it.

Very excited to get some bottles later this week.

Curious how the parade craziness will impact the DDC release along with the relatively high limit of 6. Hoping to get bottles after work tonight. After BHA was different on tap from bottles I may have to do a comparison of DDC too

I've never had issues getting DDC. The brew it 4 times a year. There should be plenty....for a few days.

There were maybe 10 people in line at 11:00. Cleanest drive to HA from west town that I've had. Parked right in front. Thanks Cubs.
