Appears to be. I would love if HA picked up some of the Tired Hands techniques/styles. I know the guys are all close.

Doubt it. I would think the benthic sells straight out. Probably a solid shot at orin though.

I would have called him out. I just dont understand parents who go along. My folks like beer and are always interested in trying new stuff but they would straight up laugh at me if I told them lets go stand in the cold for a single beer.

 

I'm cold. Tired. Have no energy to start a fight with some dude. From his comments in line I know he's a loser.

Called him out for what, though? There's no reason those folks can't be there, even if it seems lame. Now, if they cut in line, that's a whole different story.

 

Haha probably the same guy from the Binnys release I was at. His Dad was a goofy character. At the register screaming across to his Son "Do you want your mom and I to buy these for your xmas present!?"

 

You know they are loving it. "Our son was so nice to take us out of the home today, he loves us so much."

I'm not sure what is worse, missing out on Benthic or the glasses that are packaged with them. They look pretty slick as non-beer glasses. Cool all around packaging on the product too. I think we'll see a lot more of this beer/glass package since it has been done in the spirits industry for years.

 

They have those glasses for sale in the shop. Seems like a decent amount

 

Nice. That's what I was bummed about also. I'll definitely go grab 2 of those.

 

I was the last guy in line to get one of the giftsets (Orin). Bummed that I AGAIN underestimated HA fans, but I may still try to trade Orin for Benthic so my gf can try it. Either way, line took about an hour, which is a shame. Happy I didn't get shut out this time, but dang, guys, two registers for BA releases, please!

@jlsims04 I tried Cliffs and agree with you; it doesn't have quite the malt backbone of Focal, but the hop profile itself was definitely reminiscent. Grabbed a 4-pack of that, too.

 

Curious - What time did you get there? (want to confirm there's no way I could have gotten this)

 

Don't remember to the minute, but I was there at almost 11am exactly. I remember at 11:03 people were complaining that the line wasn't moving despite HA in theory being open.

 

I rolled up around 10:30 and was probably 45th in line. I already had bottles in hand and was just about ready to check out when they said if you weren't in the store then you weren't getting a bottle (or something like that). I feel like they got through at least 65-70 bottles of Benthic.

 

I have to say, I think allowing one of each giftset per person was a mistake. I'm not salty about it (realistically everyone in front of me still would've taken Benthic, so I'd still have missed out), but I think given how many people were in line + how few bottles they had, they should've made it an either/or situation. Not complaining, just saying that that would've allowed everyone in line (I think) to get a bottle.

 

I was shocked they were allowing 1 of each. I honestly went in thinking it was either/or. That being said, I noticed at least a solid half dozen folks around me that only took the Benthic.

 

I only took benthic. It would be nice to have a bottle of Orin. But what the hell am I going to do with 4 glasses?
