Is there a vanilla bottle count anywhere? (Or rumors of one)

 

I think the beer was better last year than the year prior, but can we establish that this beer should not / will not trade with: (1) BC variants; (2) BA Piipeworks beers; or (3) BA Darkness? I dont care if there's a 2-per vanilla limit.

Is it ridiculous for me to anticipate that there will be such trade offers posted in the next few hours?

 

As I was walking into line, I heard an employee say 1200, but I have no idea if that's accurate.

 

Yeah I think that's fair because it'll be trading above that in the one off lambic tier. Get yer spear guns out, it's Chicago whales!

 

A buddy of mine drove bye and sent me video of the line. Looks like a line at LP Binny's for Black Friday.

 

The line is nearly to Damen. At Half Acre last night and heard 150 - 200 cases of vanilla.

 

By passing the shit show and heading into the taproom in minutes. Taproom line is 1/5000th the size. Have fun and good luck to those waiting.

 

If I show up at 1pm, am I going to have to wait for a while just to grab a couple of bottles? And is there any way that vanilla will last that long based on current line estimates?

 

Agreed with this post 100%. People trying to "win a trade" with this beer are going to be doing a huge disservice to HABC. I love 90% of what HABC puts out but this one never really measures up to other coffee stouts on the market. Whereas I would put things like Goneaway, Navaja, GDDC and DDC (edit: space and BHA) near the top of their class. Please don't pile on the inflated trade values... It's only going to hurt HABC perception amongst non-locals.

Good, but not worth hours in line good. Vanilla Hugs tastes like pure hype to me.

Took one look at the line and turned around. I love HA, but there's no way a Big Hugs variant is worth this wait.

 

Can you just walk in now and go to guest taps? Is there room to move around?

 

As far as I could tell, there's nothing you can do at HA currently that doesn't require standing in a lengthy line.

 

The Firkin, along with the maple variant, were by far the stars of the show!
