Okay, so here's my "I'm going to X city I need to ask a ton of questions thread". I'm going to Colorado and will be traveling around... Denver, Colorado springs, Estes Park, and Boulder over the next week 12th-18th.
What 5 breweries are a must to visit/tour?
    What 5 pubs/bars are a must?
    What 5 bottle shops?
What 5+ specific beers should I pack in my luggage?

BM me your email and I will add you to my map, if you'd like. I have a map for Denver and one for The Springs. I might also still have one for Boulder.

Wouldn't this be easier if you asked this in the mountain region thread?

It could be, but a lot of Texans just visited there for GABF, so I figured their would be some opinions here.

    5 Breweries I recommend:
Denver- Comrade (Superpower IPA is phenomenal- bonus I will probably be here the 14th and/or 15th around my work trip), Crooked Stave
Colorado Springs- Nano 108, Red Leg, Trinity (sours/saisons)
    Boulder- Avery
Bonus: take the scenic route from Denver to Boulder and hit up Oskar Blues

Falling Rock, Freshcraft in Denver for bars, I mostly go to breweries so I'm not a big help here. Most CO breweries are set up more like bars that only serve one brand of beer anyways

Bottles: Mr B's in Denver, Lukas in Lone Tree, Coaltrain and Veterans in CO Springs.

    Colorado Springs - Trinity
Denver - Falling Rock (secret tip: they always have Pliny and Blind Pig on tap even though Pliny isn't listed, so ask for it), Hops and Pie
Boulder - Avery, Backcountry Pizza and Tap House

For Bottle Shop - Small Batch Liquors in Denver (near Hops and Pie so hit both). Get some bottles of Crooked Stave to stash in your luggage for return trip.

The bottle list (this is dated but an example) at BackCountry Pizza and Tap House was sick. I was like a kid in a candy store and got s#$-faced there. My GF wasn't too happy about that though. Didn't help that I had been doing samplers of everything at Avery beforehand.

Check Facebook as it is more up to date. This was a recent lineup for a sour event there.

I third the Trinity rec. They make awesome beers. Try to track down some Double Swingline.

Mountain Sun in Boulder makes some excellent beers as well. Around this time last year they had Coffee Bourbon Addict on tap and it was phenomenal. They make a mean Black IPA too.

In Denver, I would suggest brewery hopping starting at Crooked Stave, then on to Epic, then Great Divide, then River North. Then you're right bext to Freshcraft and Falling Rock.

But do hit Euclid as well. That is the best effing food right there.

Backcountry's tap and bottle list was ridiculous. They had like 5 Jester king beers including Funk Metal back in September. I had a Consectration and Supplication with my dad and they had blind pig on tap. As I continued to look through the menu I found more and more I wanted. I would also certainly hit Crooked Stave and Trinity with the list of places you gave. Theres also a pizza place in Estes that oddly enough was the first place I ever had pliny, they had it on tap when we were up there for our honeymoon. Head over to Mr B's and Tipsys when youre in Denver. Tipsys is like a Sams for beer, wine, liquor and Cigars. Head to the back left for the bomber room and ask the beer person what they have bottle limits on in the back, wear a hoodie its cold in there and theres a lot to look at.

Also, dont forget to hit the Avery Tap Room. They usually have two or 3 beers that are tap room only.

Stop in Longmont on your way to Estes Park (Estes Park Brewery is no big deal) you can hit Left Hand and Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom (Tasty Weasel). Also stop in Lyon's to hit Oskar Blues original brewpub. If you can go a few more miles north to Ft Collins - Odell, Funkwerks and, of course, New Belgium's monstrosity are worth a visit.

You can get to Oskar Blues on your way to Estes Park. Skip Estes Park Brewery.

    Funkwerks. You forgot Funkwerks.

And, since I am being picky, Oskar Blues would probably fall under Boulder as it is much closer to Boulder than FC.

Truth, forgot OB was longmont, well if in longmont gotta hit Left Hand too!

I was very underwhelmed by Funkwerks, would rather hit Grimm Brothers, Equinox, Black Bottle, or many others before Funkwerks. Hopefully I just hit some off beers as I have heard a lot of good stuff about them.

I would skip Great Divide in Denver if you're short on time, though it is close to TRVE. Black Shirt, Copper Kettle, Hogshead, Prost (maybe -- haven't been since they changed brewers) and to a lesser extent Vine Street are all more interesting.

Are y'all saying to skip Great Divide because there's better beer nearby, or is there another reason?
