For normal (non-barrel) imperial stouts I like Yeti, Czar, Expedition, Ten Fidy, and Founder's.
If the barrel is in the mix, I think BA Ten Fidy reigns supreme. BA Narwhal, Legend of the Liquid Brain, BA Czar, and Black Tuesday are excellent as well.

I used to be all about Imperial Stouts, but I think my love has decreased over the years. Back when I reviewed beers I definitely skewed them ultra high. I still like 'em, but most of those upper 4's would probably be a point lower now.

You guys have covered all of the bases. The only thing I can add is that I don't believe that it's hype when it comes imperial stouts, it's more of a fact. They are one of the most flavorful and delicious styles in beer. Period.

Mexican Cake makes my top 3. Got a mason jar full The Filling Station in Chelsea Market, NYC. Even better, as people thought it was ice coffee as I walked the street with my family. Instilling values in the kids at a young age.

Local Houston brewery Karbach is canning their newer RIS, "Three Legged Lab." I actually haven't had it yet, I just love local cans.

Other than that, this years BCBS variants and whenever @jruno graciously sends me more TG stouts

Edit: BA Ten Fidy would be sweet too.

Somebody else already mentioned it quickly, but Dark Horse has it up on their FB page.

Plead the 5th is now a NOVEMBER release. It's already on tap at the pub and in the general store. HUZZAH.

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout is a great value and very good
Bomb! is probably my favorite imperial stout, but it is pricey
Old Rasputin is very good. The price is fit for the quality ($11/12/4pk I believe)

those just few off the top of my head, the list of good imperial stouts is endless (and I haven't tried all that many of them thus far)

Old Heathen from Weyerbacher, Arcadia's Imperial Stout, and Two Brothers Northwinds are always a welcome site.

As of late the 30th Anniversary Bells Stout is also HIGHLY impressive

    Cheers!!

Four pages in and no mention of 50/50 eclipse? (That I saw). I know it's cost prohibitive but I have yet to have one that hasn't knocked me out with joy.

Imperials aren't my favorite stouts if they fail to cover the alcohol adequately. Those that do however, are some of the best beers you'll ever have - such as Founders, SN Raincheck, BCBS and Bells.
