I drank beer with the owner of one of the biggest west coast beer distributors. We shared a Old Rasputin XV and bullshitted about beer for 2 hours. Glorious.

 

Bought and drank my first Pretty Things Fluffy White Rabbits of the season. Always exciting to me.

 

I got to drink through a lot of the "prized" bottles in my cellar becasue my brother was in town. I try and save certain bottles for special occasions and people. I also got to show him all of the new breweries that have opened since he has been in town. Great time.

 

Shared a growler of Holy City's Pluff Mud Porter with a friend that was sent to me by another friend from Charleston. Great porter.

 

Yesterday I shared 2 nice bombers (Double Old Thumper and Anderson Valley Abbey Double) with my wife and the friend who cat sat for us while we were visiting the family in rightpondia.

While in rightpondia I managed a pub crawl with my brother in Edinburgh, and with my father in law in London. I also managed to have cask conditioned Wells Bombardier by the side of the Thames.

Glorious.

 

Looking forward to doing exactly this when my brother visits in June or July.

 

I shared a Project Dank with one of the best IPA brewers in the country, Matt Cole of Fat Head's.

 

It's always a good time for sure. Too bad it's few and far between. Have a blast!

 

I'm in South Jersey/ Philly and the beer scene here is AMAZING.

I literally have to decide WHICH beer event I want to go to on any given weekend

 

I was visiting where I grew up in N.Y. about couple of weeks ago. My brother and I got our wives to agree to a guy's night out. He knows I'm into craft beer and he has been dabbling with some imports lately. Our first stop that night was to bottle shop near his house. They had a great selection with some beers that I hadn't found in TX. He also asked me to pick some for him that he might enjoy. We ended up getting a couple of bombers and a mix-six. He then took me to his favorite pizza place where I got to try a DFH Namaste and Stochasticity Grapefruit Slam. We went back to his place after and broke into the beer we had purchased earlier. By the end of the evening I had made another convert to the world of craft. He even mentioned that he thinks he wants to start trying to homebrew.

 

I decided to ship a Westy XII to a friend in Brooklyn.

 

It's not strictly beer-related (yet), but my favorite cousin just announced that he's getting married in August, somewhere on the outskirts of Wilmington, DE. I'm excited for him, but even more excited to have a chance to hit up some cities like Philly and NYC that I haven't been to in a few years.

 

Drove up to Bells for my birthday recently and enjoyed lots of great beers and toured the brewery. It was great.

 

Spent a some time yesterday at the pub talking to the brew team from Mustang at the release party for their new Unbridled Series Imperial Pale Ale Rocket Fuel and it was delicious.

 

Had a great weekend in Michigan going to founders and bells, both awesome brewpubs.

Got some new glassware: kbs week 2014 snifters, a bells snifter and was surprised today to find out that one of my favorite shops got pipeworks snifters along with today's delivery. So now I finally have one of those as well.

Along with my Michigan haul, kbs bottles and the small ip trade I made in Michigan things are going good! Cheers!

 

No prized cellar bottles she'll like, but my sister is coming to town and I can't wait to let her try my homebrews. Cheers.

 

I found some scrap wood/pallets on the side of the road. I'm going to use it to build some shelves for a cellar.

 

Packing up some 4 packs of FBS for my coworkers that really enjoyed it at my recent tasting.

 

A pal of mine has informed me that he went by Tree House on Thursday, picked up some of everything, and will be coming by my place with growlers soon. What a guy!
