A great weekend has begun. Up late and up early. Chillin in a hotel room on St Pete beach. Just drank a Jai Alai and won a mini. Does life get any better? CCB on Monday.

I'm usually on semi-late, but BA decided I didn't need to get alerts about this thread since about 8 Thursday night.

    Stupid, faulty alert system.

Hope you enjoy them, cheers! Had one of those Brewtus last night, was so delicious. Loved the cold pressed coffee flavors. Great stuff.

And my roadtrip begins now! First stop is Peekskill brewery.

I'll check in with photos and updates along the way.

Awesome! Any idea when you will be at Peekskill? They have a great selection, although they are pretty IPA-heavy and you never know what will be available on any given day.

And if you like coffee at all, I highly recommend trying Wakeup Call if it's available (which it usually isn't).

Amazeballs was, well, amazeballs IMO. Their Simple Sour was very simple and not my cup of tea. Cool place, enjoy!

I have drank quite a few of the beers I received from this BIF. The beers I got from @wheelzntoys and from @Mikexw are all gone and were delicious. Maine Beer Co makes some damn good beers and Pliny is always tasty. Modern Times Black House is one of my favorite coffee beers. The Heady I got from Rob was good but didn't seem as good as heady I have had in the past. I guess I would attribute this to freshness.

Most likely; the Kane growler may or may not have been old, the Maine beers he sent are dated, but the Heady I can almost guarantee was older... who gets fresh heady that far from VT often enough to have replaced it with a new one?

Yeah I agree. The Maine beers Mike sent were delicious. The Lunch was noticeably fresher than the first one I had.

I missed it too, and live a lot closer than you :slight_frown: I'd be surprised if they were entirely out of Cantillon though?

I think out of every beer I have had, Lunch was the most "age-sensitive". It never used to be available near me, and I had a chance to try one last winter up in Vermont and wasn't impressed, but that one was a few months old. Hoewver, there was so much hype that when it magically appeared in my local bottle shop I had to try it again and loved it.

And now I know a couple of places near me that get MBC stuff, you never know what will be around, but it doesn't disappear off the shelves too quickly -- I think all the stuff I sent @Tee2Grn was in the 3-6 week old range. But Lunch is one beer that I DO tend to check the bottling date on (I know I always should, but don't).

This beer is fantastic! Didn't know they were making it again. That was a collab they did with the guys from Two Brothers out here. Really awesome coffee IPA.

Speaking of IPA's, if you guys get a chance, check out the stuff by Lawson's! That bottle Sip of Sunshine @_RL_ sent me was amazing! One of the best IPA's I've had in a very long time. Just like a drug dealer giving a little taste and baiting his next victim...
