Teacher and tech theatre director--making sure my students aren't cutting off any hands. I'd love to be in if you'd have me. I read the rules, but I might have to ask a question or two along the way. I hope that won't put anyone off.

I have completed my first BA trade and will be leaving feedback tonight for the other BA. I would imagine that he will be leaving feedback soon too. One trade does not a solid record make--so I'd be happy to ship early too (10/15, correct?).

Once again after what @Mikexw did to our last deadbeat I would feel more sorry for you than the target you stiff if you don't ship...1 trade and a recommendation works for me...

 

Glad to have you aboard! @cultclassic89's recommendation definitely satisfies me, and if you want some advice (general, or specific to what you're putting in your package) feel free to reach out; either to @cultclassic89 (who referred you), @Mikexw (who is organizing), or to me if you like (for no good reason whatsoever). I know it can be tough when you're new to the concept and shipping your box before you see what others have sent.

 

I don't want to step on toes just yet... @cultclassic89 referred me to the thread, but I don't think that he is officially "recommending" me. Sorry if my earlier comments misled. I haven't done a trade with him (yet, I hope), so I wouldn't want him to have to vouch for someone he doesn't really know.

That being said, I promise to overshoot on the box by sending plenty of tasty locals, and plenty of limited/wants too.

I just completed a trade with @OutKast yesterday (I hope it's okay if I tag him here), so if anyone knows him, he can maybe speak to the limited activity I have had on BA.

That's ok, we have newbies ship early; so you don't really need anyone to vouch for you anyway. That your box will be in the hands of your target before your box is shipped to you is as much insurance as is needed. Tim's recommendation would've just been some nice icing on the cake.

 

I just responded to @mbmiche and said all sorts of nice things about the guys in this group. And for what it's worth, this was the first BIF I've ever been in, and had never traded before, so I can probably answer questions from the newbie perspective. I would have suggested he read through this thread, but we have sort of created a monster here...

 

I've read the last three or four pages, but once I get home tonight, I'll work on catching up on the rest of my reading. @Mikexw, I'll BM my details when I get home too--I'm running out the door (work) now. I do appreciate how welcoming all of the BA's I've interacted with are! This community is pretty awesome. I can already tell that beer trading and my addictive personality are going to be a great match. Now I just have to break it to the wife...

 

If you can make her suspect that all the time and effort you put in are related to another woman, then when she finds out the truth she'll be GLAD it's just beer.

 

Today was a big day for me ....

Met up with the one and only @kgncfl and had an early happy hour at Max's in Baltimore!

Then I got a proper porch smack down in my 4th box in 6 months from @edhizdeid - this dude is new to the locals but he knows how to bring the pain. And how to pop a Loon cherry. So excited for everything in this box.


NOTE: I'm watching frozen at my 5yr olds family movie night - will name all the brews when I get home (for those that don't know) ....
