I'm truly humbled by this group and the generosity, thanks so much Nick. Had a hard past month or so, many of you may not know but my five year old may need spine surgery to correct an abnormality which is causing him not know when he has to go to the bathroom amongst other nerve issues. He just started kindergarten too so it's also worrying because we don't want the other kids to know he's having accidents and might get made fun of. He has had an MRI and a catheter put in to check nerves in his bladder and now we have to wait until August 27 for our next appointment. I am kind of stay at home dad as I work late afternoon and nights so it's nice to have this group as an outlet. Luckily nothing is life threatening for my son but I wanted to let everyone know that this group really means a lot to me and I consider you all my friends

hey @Kylo76 we got your back. I've got one going into Kindergarten in a few weeks. she just got glasses to help correct a wandering eye situation. these are kind of coke bottle bifocals and I'm already worried that she's going to get made fun of. that feeling sucks as a parent. she loves the glasses so far and she looks friggin cute with them on, but yeah... good luck with your little dude, hopefully they can fix him up good.

That's a tough one man, I'm glad it's not life threatening though. My oldest might not have that specific issue, but I'm very worried about the potential for ridicule for him as well, he also just got glasses recently and is allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame seeds. Obviously an allergy isn't a spinal issue with a side bladder control issues, but it's still something that makes him different and that's all it takes for kids to pounce.

If you come up with any ideas how to either minimize or handle the impact of it, let me know and I'll do the same.

Sorry to hear man... will keep you guys in our thoughts and prayers. As someone already mentioned, and you probably already know, these little guys are amazingly strong & resilient. Oh and if anyone ever makes fun of him - we'll chip in and get the enforcer on a redeye flight to AZ to have a chat with those kiddos.
