22 for me, I love the 'no bordering states' rule, especially with all the great Mid-Atlantic representation we've got!

 

23-25 here. Not ruling out "West" yet...unfortunately, this rule does nothing for me. I guess I get to eliminate the other 50 people in this BIF from Texas.

 

I guess I've got some homework to do, I know I don't have much from CO on my list, but there are definitely some Colorado goods I want.

Speaking of, @Kramerbarthomer (or anyone else around here from CO), do you have any way of getting a tulip glass, and for that matter beer, from Casey Brewing? I would love to set something up.

 

Casey is doing some amazing things.... but the only way to get that tulip glass is to make the 7 hour round trip drive from Denver to the brewery in Glenwood Springs, which I have yet to do (and don't foresee in the near future due to my 2 yr old son and 7 months pregnant wife at home ) ... so I wish I could help out, but I will not be making any of the releases in the near future at least... and for what it's worth, he's basically been opening the brewery ONLY on the first Saturday of every month for new releases, this Saturday he's putting out 5 new fruited variants (only 18 cases of each) ... I'll be at the GABF Saturday afternoon session though, so I will unfortunately not be there....

 

Hint #1: Shipping North.

To my Sender: I will be out of town Oct. 29-Nov. 2 and have no problem if you need to ship after.

To my Target: It doesn't look like you have had/want/need/cellar TX beer, but I know you will update your wants.

 

Hint #Texas: I hope my target likes big bottles and big boxes.

OK -- here we go -- more information than you knew you wanted or needed -- I think I answered all the questions...

1 - nobody is sending to himself

2 - nobody is sending to someone in a bordering state

3 - nobody is sending to their sender

4 - everybody is sending to their target

5 - if you wrote down your name, then gave it to your target, and then they did the same and passed it on to their target, the list would not get back to you until everyone's name was on it. In other words, the senders and targets make one huge loop.

6 - based on Mapquest driving distances (rounded to the nearest mile), the 35 hauls will travel a total of 48,039 miles, or an average of 1373 miles per haul. That's obviously skewed a lot by Alaska, but the median distance is still 1086 miles. 19 of the 35 hauls are travelling over 1000 miles.

 

So excited that this has started. Just looked at my target's wants and I can hit a few of them so that'll be fun.

regarding Untappd names -- I'm mikexw (same as here) -- but I tried adding a few of you who posted your usernames here (@Lehighace06 , @Seanhand_atl , @HoppySeb ) and couldn't find you? Could be something screwy with their system at the moment, but I just wanted folks who volunteered into to know I wasn't being antisocial.

 

Also, to my sender, the way I approach my wants list on here is that if I have a want by a brewery, I'd be happy with anything by said brewery. I just don't want to go through and click want on all the indiviual beers.
