I posted in the 12 days of xmas thread, but he DOES seem to have disappeared -- he was pretty active in both our threads until about a week ago. And got three bad feedbacks in the last 24 hours.

All I have to say is WOW. I can't believe this mess, something is going on, but I am lost for words on this situation.

Yeah, I'd probably agree. Of course, I still have two left I think (or maybe one, I can't remember...), which means I'll probably just toss them into the cellar and forget about them for a year or so and see if the Brett does anything interesting. In general I'm just not a huge fan of Brett IPAs. I love the two separately, but I think the Brett eats away at a lot of the hoppyness that you're looking for from an IPA.

Even though my profile pic is clean-shaven, its about 5 years old. I've had a full beard for 3-4 years now, A and somewhere between A and C depending on what I feel like (though even when I let it grow out longer I still try and keep it trimmed up and even).

I'm a none of the above -- clean shaven during the week, stubble on weekends? It grows great for about a day, then slows down ridiculously and I just look lazy. The longest I've ever gone in my life without shaving is MAYBE 2 weeks, and it's not a pretty sight.

So what you're saying is CPA during the week, and look like your avatar on the weekends?

No Shave November with the way facial hair grows becomes mostly neckbeard with a mustache and goatee. Very awkward looking facial hair, but it's all in good fun. Was hoping this year I could pull of a @cultclassic89 but I don't think that will ever be a possibility for me haha.

For me it's a/a, I've had a beard for about 2 years now. Started growing it last year for the Black Hawks playoff run and they won so I decided to keep it, and then got used to it. Buy like @UcDru said, I don't like a long mustache, and hate an itchy neck beard.

    A. and it goes back and forth between A. and C., not because my fiancée won't sleep with me (though I wouldn't blame her if that was the case), but because I get bored with it and feel like trimming it. I'm now getting it back to about a half inch long. I'm sure I'll get bored with that after a month or two, let it grow for eight more months again to ZZ Top status, then trim it again to scruff.

I'm roughly the same. My beard is much more tame now than it was this summer when I met up with a bunch of you guys in PA and OH.

By the way, I think I forgot to mention that 2 boxes went out yesterday, BOTH for the thread, and NEITHER to expecting targets. Let the porch destruction begin

One won't arrive until Thursday, but the other... well, the other is already "On FedEx Truck for Delivery" :grinning:

Damn FedEx alerts...... well since you already know it's you, I'll say now:

The box you're receiving is not from me. It is from ALL of us. As you know, in collecting funds to finance the boxes going into and out of Alaska, FAR more was received than was needed, and I promised to do something benefiting the group, and not just keep the money to myself.

I had the idea, and ran it by a couple of the guys with unanimous support, to use the funds to send you a box as a thank you for putting this thing together. I hope you enjoy everything in it, and from all of us, THANK YOU.

Wow, I'm tearing up here -- thanks very much! When I got the notification you had sent me something (about 5 minutes after we had agreed to hold off on any trades for a while) I got confused. And then this morning I assumed it was my LIF box -- so apparently I have even MORE beer coming? I need more drinking buddies...

Anyway... just so everyone knows what I ended up getting...

Terrapin Moohoo Chocolate Milk Stout x 2-- this is actually the last beer I bought a 6-pack of -- it's not available in NY, and the place I found it in NJ didn't sell by the bottle. But I think I only drank 1 or 2 of them and shared or BIF'd or traded the others, so these are appreciated. They are also very "non craft beer drinker friendly" for sharing.

Courage Imperial Russian Stout-- new to me, but it sounds yummy. And it's made by the same guys who make Young's Double Chocolate Stout, which I liked a lot

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout-- I have never had this, but heard good things about it

Bell's Expedition Stout -- I had this for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it -- I actually bought myself one bottle, now I have two (although one may get moved along)

Goose Island Bourbon County Stout -- 2013 -- no comment required

Russian River Supplication -- huge want and I am very excited! I had PtE once, but this will be my first RR sour.

Big Gruesome Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout-- this was a want too, and it sounds yummy.

Thanks so much -- this is greatly appreciated!!

Uh oh... if you got 2 Moo Hoos, I might've gotten some bottles mixed up between your and the other box I sent out.... I'll get it figured out and maybe I didn't, I just don't remember sending 2 of anything.

Oh, and a couple notes: Check the year on the Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. It's got some age on it being from 2009, and it's drinking FANTASTICALLY. And Courage is on the Beers of Fame list, so you know it's good. Besides those two I tried to go with all wants.

Also, now you know why I was bugging you so much about your interest in sours, Supplication is a great one, but if you weren't interested in sours I didn't want to give you something that would just be trade bait. I've had that bottle on hold for me at my bottle shop for like 4 months waiting for a good reason to buy it. This box was a perfect chance.

edit: My notes say your box was supposed to include 1 moohoo, but there's nothing I have in my notes you were supposed to get and didn't. I think what happened was the other box was going to get an unplanned Moo Hoo added to it last minute, and it must have gone to your box instead. It was a last-minute add either way, so no huge deal; I hope the other recipient is happy enough without one

No problem -- I really appreciate it. If you need me to to MHIF (Moo Hoo it Forward) just let me know. BTW, I'm not sure if you got away with a fake weight on the box, but what showed up at my door was a lot bigger than what I was expecting from the Fedex alert -- and you also sent one of those magic boxes that after I removed all the beer and put all the packing material back in, I STILL had trouble closing the box.
