So this one got soaked from the broken bottle and when I went to put it in the fridge the paper tore off. So no blind tasting. However, this bad boy right here was excellent. Another brewery I had never heard of, and really enjoy this beer. The more I drink Baltic porters, the more I realize I really like them. The vanilla flavor on this was delicious.

 

Day 2 from @smanson56..... interesting aroma on this one. Malty sour vanilla?

 

Sorry for the late post. Was busy at the pool yesterday. Got home late and knew I had a shitty day today.. Just got home from a 14 hr day and it was hot as fuk out! Anyway, here's what I had yesterday.



This was really good too @andreizm ! Love those gingerbread stouts. Thx again for the awesome gesture and you already know it won't go unpunished!

JK Genie bottle familiar raspberry nose and jammy tart funky goodness on the palate.. this is a great welcome back the US and Thor approved this familiar brew! It's no doubt this is...

After today I decided to go with one of the wrapped beers, and I was praying for a sour after sweating out 10lbs today!


Thank the lord! Judging by the bottle size, and the fact @andreizm used to live in Cali, this is definitely a Rare Barrel beer. I don't remember all the names, but I'm pretty sure this is one of the stone fruit variants. Might be getting some nilla in here too. My guess would be Home Sour Home (or something like that).

Amazing looking beer and delivers on tasting. Juicy, tart blackberries? American sour no idea of what one.

 

I'm really glad you liked this one. I picked it up on a trip to Montreal at the end of last month. Figured it would be perfect for today as July 1st is Canada Day.

Smells boozy and tastes sweet. I couldn't quite guess what it was - thought maybe an older BW or an Old Ale.


This is a Jackie O's/Creature Comforts collab. Supposed to be a smoked BA barleywine. I get zero smoke but it's pretty good. Sweet, some dark fruit. Also, I've never heard of this BW. I recommend this to the BW Locals - @valrxman, @vitaminvert.

 

I know you probably had this beer last weekend and maybe even brought cans home. I would have picked something different if I had known you were also at Weldfest.

Day 3 from @CBrodbeck... I popped the bottle and immediately smelled coconut. I know you are jelly @Dave_Treat. When I poured the beer I got much more of the same.


My first sip was very coconut forward. Did I mention coconut? The more I drank the beer the more I tasted milk chocolate and maybe even some coffee. I detected light bourbon and oak to go along with the booze in this medium bodied offering. My first guess was FB Last Buffalo since I had drank this one several times in the past. And I was right. I was happy to revisit this one! Cheers Charlie!

Jet black pour bourbon, dark sugar and dark roast coffee in the nose.... I have a feeling this will make good night night juice as I have been awake now for 18 hours traveling all day.

The palate presents maple sweetness up front dark chocolate and really present bitter espresso roast. This is a cycle stout weekday lm sure...



Brinner ! Great night cap after the Atrial and a great start to these 6 days!

 

My day 3 from @valrxman wa absolutely perfect. My daughter was baptized today, and the beer was a great way to celebrate the occasion. I was also grilling in the heat, and it was super refreshing.



I knew what it was upon first sip.



I absolutely love Fou and haven’t had my own bottle in years. Thanks so much Steve!

I also opened an extra today.
