Agreed on all. I've never asked for anything over what I paid for a beer. I'm good with waiting for the right return , rarity, etc, but not over $4$. Right now, many are trying to get well over double the cost of VR, and in rare(ish) bottles. I've turned down every offer when they do that. I'll find the right one that wants to trade it for what its worth.

$16 at my Whole Foods, which is known for GOOD prices generally speaking. I got a Raison d'Extra and a FW XVIII instead, and if I were getting something else I would have passed over it still to get a Big Lushious or a Weyerbacher Riserva at that pricepoint; or I would've gotten one of the nine different Eclipse variants that they got in today... man I love that place.

 

I hope FWXVIII and Eclipse hits here soon. I picked up a few Big Lushious, waiting on some kind of get together to crack it open, I don't think I can drink one by myself.

 

December is a really really bad time to be put in "beer buying timeout" ... I'm trying really hard to be good, but I'm probably not even having a 'good' month spending-wise despite that it feels like I'm passing on 75% of the awesome releases I want to buy.

I'm in self imposed timeout too. (and mine's probably going to go through Q1 next year except for a few things I need to fulfill BIFs I've already signed up for). I find that I have to just ignore all my usual sources for seeing what beers are coming around, there's just too many I want to get otherwise.

 

If Dave really is ok with it, that works for me, especially instead of having @Clarkson do two trades himself. Just let me know before you send @Clarkson his box, I might have something to toss into it (or at least a recommendation for you). I'm also glad I know now that those are going in the box you're putting together for me, so that I can make sure my return fire is in line with what I'm getting

By the by, 2:1 ANTEAD variant for Vanilla is insane. Base I'd say maybe 2:1 but the variants are WAY more rare and when they came out were in just as high demand as Vanilla is now.

round here we call it a "beerlationship" ... I wish I could remember who coined the term, but I love it so I advocate for it whenever I can. And thank you very much for being willing to pass for my benefit, the courtesy will not be forgotten.

Unless this is overcomplicating things, I can pitch in to be a courier for this stuff as well, since I'll see you at BS 2.0 and I'll see @jawas whenever we do our above-mentioned trade.

Well I don't want to over complicate the issue, but I guess we need to figure out who is doing what and where, @Dave_Treat , @Lehighace06 and @Clarkson.

It sounds like you and @Clarkson have a trade for BCBBW, I don't know what you're sending him (but like I said I have a recommendation or two if you're looking for ideas). From your haul of that trade, you've offered to trade some of it to me at a later date. @Dave_Treat passed on the trade with @Clarkson so that you, and in turn I, can get that beer instead. You and @Dave_Treat then agreed upon doing a completely unrelated trade with the terms (afaik) completely up in the air.

You also are working on an IP trade with someone in northern NJ that will be a pain for you to get to, but I'll be in that area next week if you can get your end of the trade to me in time for the deal to be made and I'll go on your behalf, delivering your end of that trade when you and I later meet up to complete our previously arranged trade.

Lots of moving parts, but not as complicated as it seems.

edit: @Clarkson mentioned that BCBBW is not the only thing he's putting on the trade block, so he and @Dave_Treat (and/or someone else entirely) may also have a deal going on, but that's neither here nor there.

 

I think that sums it all up. I'm out of the BCBBW trade in favor of you sending to @Lehighace06. You mentioned maybe 2 bottles to him and 2 to someone else...
