This has me excited. I have a bottle of '14 parabola and a bottle of the most recent retribution batch (which I can get fairly easily as I'm really close to duclaw), but haven't cracked either yet (or tried either ever). I've been reluctant to open the parabola because I know I'll probably enjoy it a lot and then probably won't be able to get it easily again!

Excellent! I did a 13 Retribution and a 14 Parabola back in July.... And Parabola shouldn't be too hard to get, just make some friends with some of our Cali traders!!!

And another VBS: this is another top 5 IPA for me, up there with Congress St & Focal. Thanks again Dave!

New labels. OHB is changing all of their labels this year, trying to get a bit more 'up-to-date', while still keeping that 'old-school-modern' look. It's been a bit polarizing around town, but most people in the area dig them (while quietly saying that whatever was their favorite had a better label than the new ones).

Well, hell, I probably knew at one point that you hadn't had Wicked Weed before, but if I'd remembered I might have sent something different. Black Angel is the sour that most people like the best from them. If I'd known you hadn't had them before I probably would have sent Genesis and Serenity, which are the two beers from them that are more universally liked. Lusus Naturae and Briars & Brett are both pretty recent and are both... interesting. I like them both pretty well but they're both beers that are them messing around with ingredients as opposed to them making something that they knew people will love (like Black Angel). I still have a bottle of Black Angel from the first time they released it (which I think was their first bottle release at all); I'll get around to trying it sometime soon

I only count 6 beers there:grinning: you know I wouldn't break any rules. The 3 from outside va don't count, the 2 side by sides count as one each, so I think that equals 6. I heard you were a glass *****, so had to include one. Adroit is going to do great things, watch out for them!

    Glad you enjoyed it.

Mistletoe is from a very local brewer to me (okay, OHB is more local but people have actually heard of them  ), a brewer who actually started out in my homebrew club (we've had two commercial breweries come out of the club). Mistletoe is arguably his best beer, so I'm glad to sneak it into some boxes.

Jingle Fever I had for the first time after I had it picked out for the box already. It's solid but not going to knock your socks off. But it's a Minneapolis brewery that I've heard good things about and just haven't had much from them, and thought it fit with the season well.

OHB and WW people have heard of so not much explanation needed  Bretticent is one of WW's lower rated beers, but I think it's a pretty interesting Brett beer and Genesis is one of WW's most-often made beers (though I have yet to figure out their production schedule). OHB is my local brewery, so I love being able to send out Event Horizon and Lindley Park to people this time of year!

Man, I can still taste that Clara... I'm so glad my wife decided she didn't like it so I got to drink almost the entire bottle.

And I forgot to mention that I love the fact that the Adroit Theory B/A/Y/S - Cognac has zero reviews on BA... that just makes it more fun

Just bottled 2 weeks ago, I held the box waiting for it. They are a very small brewery, but doing big things. I have a bottle for myself, but been slammed in the 12 days and I haven't had it yet. You can have the privilege, pop that bad boy open and be the first review...
