What would you fellas do in that situation?

 

If I was going FROM Pennsylvania into Delaware, I'd go real fast and figure I could hit Maryland before the cops noticed.

Sorry - couldn't resist -- but maybe try and correspond with them and see if you can somehow get the box returned, then try shipping a different way? I honestly can't imagine a sting/entrapment operation, but this IS sort of weird. I'm sure lots of folks don't even KNOW they aren't allowed to mail beer.

 

Go and begrudgingly give them my tree fidy. If it was any more than that I'd tell them to give me my box back and leave, go to a different fedex dropoff and give it to them.

 

I'm with that. Couple things though. This is the FedEx hub for my town, not a drop off location. And, I wonder if I will be "flagged" after this? Prob just being paranoid, but this caught me off guard.

Neat, saw on the regional forums that at least one other BA will be at the convention I'm going to in a couple weeks.

 

Ha, ya got me. I called and talked to the FedEx rep this evening. I'll go by there tomorrow and see if I can get it cleared up. Just wondering....have you ever heard of this happening before?

 

Well maybe i don't feel so bad then. But then again as a state that is supposed to get it and its delayed as long as it is (along with most other beers distributed here) is a pisser. Hell,we were supposed to be getting Funkwerks here in the next week or so, but TABC label approvals haven't come in yet and they are starting to cancel launch events. As is life in the bible belt.

 

Nope, although I have also never had anything break or get inspected or however they figured it out... Maybe it sounded boozy? Honestly no idea.

 

Maybe the delay is so they can make it bigger, I've heard things are bigger down there....

 

Well they are certainly bigger, and the beer is too.

 

A box has delivered to my target.

 

Two of my four LIF boxes are on track to be delivered tomorrow in some very cold states. Looking back now I really wish I had held off on shipping them. Driving me nuts worrying about them. Expecting the worst but hoping for the best. The third box is due to be delivered on Friday to a warm state. Fourth box will be shipped on Monday with the hope the weather will be better.

Winter 6'er will be shipped northwards on Monday to a state who's NFL and college football teams will not be playing this weekend. Shipping to someone that I have shipped to in the past so I may have to branch out from true locals a little bit.

 

Want for me. MD saw maybe a handful of cases statewide last year.
