I'm actually wondering if we should consider posting a "bad trader" thread in the Beer Trading General/Help Forum... that usually gets people to own up and send out their box pretty quickly...

 

Might not be a bad idea. I mean, the shipping window ran through June 15th for the prior round, right? Even if the package shipped today, it would still not get to @Tee2Grn until the end of the week (July 11th or so). That's ridiculous. @Tee2Grn, has there been any additional communication?

 

He sent me a message on June 24th and asked if I could wait until the 29th to ship. He said this would give him some time to pick up some more beer to ship. I told him that would be fine. He sent me a list of the beers he planned on sending and it looked very good. He asked if there was anything else I might want from the area. I told him Monkey Chased the Weasel sounded good but if he couldn't get it then no biggie. He replied telling me he would try to find some. I got pretty excited for the box. That was the last I have heard from him.

 

That comes on July 15th (given that the consensus deadline is the 14th). I want to keep it 'in-house' as long as possible, going public with it is pretty irreversible and I don't want to ruin a guy's rep if he's just disorganized. This is one more case in point for why there should be "BIF Feedback" though.

If it comes to consolation boxes, please let us know what he told you would be in the box, I've got a couple wants of yours already lined up and set aside, but if we can (also, not instead, who are we kidding?) recreate what he said he'd send you, all the better.

If it officially makes it to that point I will let everyone know what he was going to send.

 

I find it hard to make an excuse for a guy who set the shipping window to miss it by a month+..I think at the very least better communication is warranted.

I'm not even going to ask how you got that.... but @Mikexw said he texted him, implies he has his number already, and also that this route has been attempted unsuccessfully.

 

Lol, I was the one who sent him beer in the BIF. Guess I should have just sent beer to @Tee2Grn... And I can't believe he's not even responding to texts. Didn't seem like that kind of dude

 

@heystevec told me about how awesome this BIF is and if there is a round 2, I would like to join in.

 

Which liquor store does he work at? I'm pretty sure it's across the state, but it's a small state...

 

Hell yeah man, we're talking about doing a round 2 early fall. We just sent out targets a few days ago for a "summer sixer" as an interim. Happy to have you, you're just right in between rounds right now.

FYI, You may want to delete this post dude... posting personal info on the forums often leads to threads getting deleted/locked/ banned etc... and this is a great thread... don't want that to happen... Cheers guys

 

Replying/quoting just means you copied the information, so if the original is removed yours will remain... Would be best if both are updated to remove the personal information.

Yeah, and now we have the original post AND two quotes of it. But I don't know how to delete a post unless it's done immediately.

 

I think we're currently in round 2 already (although it's a small one), but no problem for round 3! I think I volunteered to run that one, I'm guessing that one will happen in September or October (we need time to drink the stuff we're sending each other). And your part of the country is underrepresented!

 

I messaged @dbrauneis, who looks to be online right now to try and get it edited.
