I got my full allocation, 12 bottles.

Something has came over me though to share more of this release than previous ones because I had missed batch one and it was difficult for me to get one. Even my local beer guys out here had up to a case each and they flat out would not open up a bottle with me or give/trade/sell me one. I was told, "sucks for you, you should have went to the release"... It rubbed me the wrong way.
One of them eventually did agree to give me one of his remaining 8 if I would stand in line for him at the Firestone Walker Invitational last year. That was the agreement.
Now, in all of my excitement at the event, I totally forgot about doing that for him... After the event there was a bottle share that I did not participate in at all because I was totally messed up drunk and throwing up. I ended up going to bed fairly early into the evening. Well, in retaliation for me not fucking standing in line for him he went ahead and opened up my 750ml Cantillon (the only Cantillon I ever owned and paid some ******ed money for at a store... to be able to bring it to a share and contribute a nice bottle...) and my Bruery SiTR w/ Kumquats (which is one of my favorite beers), while I was completely knocked out.
I'm sorry but I brought a whole case of beers to share with them and they could have opened up anything else... and it's not like they didn't have enough bottles there between the lot of them anyways! They had much rarer and better Cantillon shit and Sante Adairius shit... They had plenty to drink but this certain individual, out of spite, opened up my shit.

So it's always kinda felt shitty to know that I would share and open up and give any beers to these guys, but the way I was treated and the shit that was talked about me behind my back just kills me.

That's why I don't give a fuck about this beer and I want to share it with more people than usual. It a special bottle to me and I just wanna make sure I don't act like a fucking tight ass with it.

Yeah well there aren't that many craft beer nerds like myself in my area, and I don't hold grudges. I'm not a vindictive or facetious person. No ill intentions run through my body at all ever, so I guess I just moved on about it.

I still have not drank that bottle that he gave me. If you notice, it's still in my fridge. I don't even want to drink it. Does that make sense? It wouldn't bring me any pleasure now to actually open it. I don't think I can/will enjoy it..

 

Yeah well he is much bigger than me, and I'm not trying to burn my bridges with the locals here because of my pride or ego.
I just don't give a fuck about it anymore

 

To this day, I won't buy or trade for Cantillon... lol

The mystery of cape may county. We don't get shit but the stuff we get only 2-3 people know about till April thru October.

 

It's the exact opposite near me. I can be on my beer manager's double secret text list, and still get shut out of releases.

 

Will be at work for a few hours, but now I'm thinking about what I wanna drink when I get home lol
