My best friend's dad works for Cape May Peanut Butter Co. Technically the olive oil company, but it is the same owner.

I thought Bois was very hot when I had it about a year ago... I didn't notice much similarity to a stout, though.

I found Bois to hide most of the booze, but definitely still there. Very balanced. Not really like a stout, but I think you were just talking about alcohol flavor. I found the flavors to shine through, like carmel and vanilla. Is bois 18% now, thought it was 15, maybe that also put it over the top.

But against a handful of sours, it probably tasted over the top. I say try it again...

I agree with you. Bois is not BT but the booziness that jumped at me kinda took away from fully enjoying the beer in the same way for both. I very much enjoyed it but I think I would have a lot more if it wasn't that hot.

I've had it fresh and aged. Didn't change a whole lot. It was the first big beer I liked. I agree, bt would probably be my favorite beer of they would dial it back just a little.

Exactly. Much better phrased than I ever will. We kept some for trying again later today. I will see how it goes. Having it at the end was probably not the smartest way to enjoy it.

    The bottle I had was a 13.

For all those that messaged me about Omega Point, I was able to procure plenty. If you didn't message me, I probably still have a couple available, so if you're interested let me know.

My next hint is that my target did not like post. If my target likes this post though, I will still throw in the Apple Brandy Noir.

Honest question, with such strong flavors from an imperial stout and a robusto cigar, can you even taste the food at all?

Another honest question, as someone who enjoys bourbon, what about booziness in beer do you dislike? Or are you using "booziness" as one in the same for "hot alcohol"? Personally I try to differentiate; to me booziness is that "wow this is damn strong" feeling I get from bourbon, whereas "hot alcohol" is more of an offensive trait, like taking a shot of rail vodka. As a (infrequent) brown water drinker, "booziness" is just fine, "hot alcohol" is not, so I'm curious about your take on it.

Hello BA peoples! I'm new on this thread and looking to do something different other than the ISO/FT - traditional trading. I want to introduce myself by doing this simple LIF.
Ive been doing a lot of reading trying to get a pulse on the group. Everyone seems very generous, cool and funny! Would love to start participating in some of these BIF/LIF asap. Seen a couple on here that do it for charity which I find AWESOME and I highly respect that! Definitely would like to be a part of something that cool!
So with all that being said, I'm going to Jackie O's next Saturday (March 14th) and wanted to make a LIF about OH:
What was my first brewery I visited in OH?
Whats my favorite Sports team in OH?
Whats my favorite beer in OH?

First person to get all three correct or is the closest by the 15th wins some Jackie Os treats. I'll send Monday March 16th. For Ohioians, if you had Jackie Os bottles please let someone else enjoy.
    Good Luck and Cheers everyone!
