That's why I'm afraid it'll happen.... that and because my face is on this site in a couple places, but being recognized from those pictures might be worse.

Fine, maybe not, but I also wasn't expecting challenges in this thread to be quite the ridiculous thing they are elsewhere; neither the challenges themselves nor the bottles. I could easily (and happily) be proven wrong though.

So as part of thanks for a #pickitupformebro, @LehighAce06 sent a couple goodies my way... I don't know if he knew I had NEVER had FIS (despite it being on my radar for a while...) but I finally decided to crack this open... this is great! I don't know why I waited so long to actually try this beer. Thanks Kevin!

 

Glad to hear you hadn't had it, and enjoyed it so much! With PA being in Founders' footprint, I was hesitant to give that to you once its partner bottle from 2012 broke (the point was to give you a side-by-side). It really is a great beer.

 

I didn't go overboard on the challenge or the challenge beer. It is a nice beer from his Wants, but not walezbro level at all. If I had gotten nasty on the challenge then I would have upped the reward level on the challenge beer. But I chose to go nice on the challenge.

 

I'll say this much... every time I go into my local grocery store that happens to sell beer (not a huge selection but the best prices around me for sure) and see it sitting on the shelf I pass... probably won't next time.

 

I would be interested in that!

#VBS in honor of Maik Korolczuk. He was one of the victims on the Germanwings jet that crashed into the French Alps. I chose Grapefruit Sculpin because he hated all American beer, especially anything with any hint of fruit, so it somehow seems appropriate.
