Anyone checked it out? Our camp is only about 30 mins from Wolfeboro and this seems like a great spot for a brewery being on Lake Winnipesaukee. I'd be pretty spoiled on the weekends having Gneiss only 5 mins away and now this. Just wondering, cheers!

I'll be checking them out this week ... I'll also be swinging by Gneiss before the SN BeerCamp in Portland. This summer has been very beery.

Enjoy, I go to Gneiss every weekend. Trying to get to Lone Wolfe soon enough, let us know!

Considering I added them, live 10 miles away and have most of the reviews so far, yes I've checked them out:wink:.

All kidding aside, they have a cool little tasting room and a couple excellent IPAs so far. I've heard the Milk Stout and farmhouse ale were quite good as well. The owner is quite passionate and knowledgeable and as it's just a one barrel system, he can experiment and dial in his beers pretty effectively. The response in the community has been great and he's having trouble keeping up with demand. I definitely recommend that anyone in the area should check them out!

    Cheers!

My wicked old grandmother who lives up there suggested this brewery to me. She said alot of the local 20-30 somethings go there, so it must be good

Goin to be in the area this week. Do they do full pours and offer food? The reviews sound promising

Full pours. No food. Pretty small tasting room.

Co worker surprised me with a growler of breakfast stout. Tasty and well made, not waterey and no poorly crafted favors. Compares with Smutty robust porter and Night Shift awake. Will hopefully have a growler of IPA a week from now. Can't wait to try it out.

Don't bother going this week. Went last weekend and there's a sign in the window "closed on vacation til March 4"

Yes I was pretty disappointed but there is a tasting room next door called beveridge. Very small room but they have about 8 taps of some different stuff from around Maine and New Hampshire. Surprised to see they didn't have anything from the lone Wolfe considering he's right next door.

This is what they had on a couple of days ago ... Ended up getting growlers of the Philoxenia and Batch #167. A decent stop for samplers or a pint until you find a beer worthy of a growler.

I’ve been up a few times and have been moderately impressed to thoroughly disappointed; their flagship porter was really well made. I remember Philoxenia and their Gose to be quite good as well…wish I could’ve been up there for their 2nd anniversary

Burnt Timber is also in the area, and can be found on tab/bottle at the Beveridge Craft Beer & Soap shop, which is right next to Lone Wolf. They also occasionally have Garrison City, Deciduous, Stoneface…some great NH offerings.

Went to the downtown W'boro taproom quite a few times this winter. Beer ranged from so-so (regular IPAs, saisons) to good (Black IPA - where have you been my old friend!). But I really liked the community/local vibe to the place - one time a local artist was showing his wares, another time a woman had an impromptu ukulele session. Best of luck to these folks with the expanded brewery, I'll be sure to visit this summer.

Combined with the strange-sounding but cool beer and soap-shop taproom (Beveridge) next door , Wolfeboro now has at least a chill little beer scene going - from zero a few years ago.

I'm actually pretty shocked. I'm in town multiple times per year. I've had both the really bad experiences and decent from them. I think the majority of the issues was dirty tap lines but a couple bad visits can really ruin your opinion. Hopefully they've worked out their issues, I'll give them one more shot.
