Just wanted to share a little bit of the love in case some local Triangle BA's hadn't heard that Criterion in downtown Durham tapped 5 beers from Lost Abbey over the weekend. If I am not mistaken it was Serpent's Stout, Judgement Day (which was amazing), Lost and Found, Carnevale, and one more which I am forgetting. Good prices also.

Looked on the Lost Abbey website and seeing no distribution to NC, so Ben really went out of his way to snag these.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post something like this, too..New to the forum.

Cool - I like Criterion and need to go back. I just saw that Bottle Rev posted they got some Lost Abbey bottles in today. No idea if we'll be seeing regular distribution or if this is like one of those Jester King deals where we see a scattering of bottles pop up once or twice a year.

At least one place in the Triad area has some bottles too. Potent Potables in Jamestown posted a picture with 5 cases...now I just need to find a way to get my hands on some...

I need to get over to Bottle Rev, every time I am in the area they are closed. Saw the Raleigh location had some cans of Burial Ceremonial as well....assuming they aren't already sold out and haven't updated the website.

They hit all the shops in Raleigh today too. I have to imagine they're distributing here, but haven't seen any news on it nor do they list NC on their website. Interesting.

They are listed as approved by the ABC if you search their database for Port Brewing as the supplier.

I'm really surprised by this. The Lost Abbey version of this beer was really expensive (which I guess is what happens when you put together two of the more expensive breweries in the country) and I thought it was a brewery-only release. The Wicked Weed version WW said would not be released in bottles and rather would be kegged and they'd pour it at festivals/funkatorium/etc. I guess its possible they had enough kegs that they wanted to distribute a few, but that seems hardly news-worthy. I've got a couple bottles of the Lost Abbey version sitting in California for me, I hope its tasty

The ABC website does list Mims as the distributor for Port Brewing, though doesn't list Ad Idem (though doesn't mean it won't be listed soon).

Ironically, (or not ironically) Port Brewing also have 3 or 4 of their beers on tap at Criterion as well. Either way, hope to continue seeing more of their beers on draft and bottled for the triangle. And to think my wallet wasn't getting light enough from craft beer:astonished:

I love Port IPA's. Hopefully they can manage to keep them fresh on the shelves.
