I confess I never really understood the appeal of that bar, considering that you can get from Munich to Nürnberg in under two hours and drink the beers closer to the source for half the price.
I've been saying this for a long time. When I go back even further (late 1980s) it was DM 20 for a crate, the "inexpensive" or on-sale brand was at about DM 17. Germans just aren't prepared to pay more for beer and groceries.
Many of the US style craft beer breweries are closing here. The market was over run and the locals dont like hoppy beers generally.
