    Good Day Folks,

Not new to beer, but BRAND-SPANKIN' new to trading!! My brother got me an awesome book for Christmas and I wanted to work my way through drinking the beers, of course. American and International brews abound in between these pages and I "gotta catch 'em all," can someone help me get started?

    Cheers,

Easiest way to get started trading is to do a local for local trade. Agree on a specific amount (say 2 bombers and a 6 pack) and go from there. That's the way i started. Plus welcome to trading. Lots of good people on here that will help with any questions you have. You will most likely be ask to send first since it is your first trade. Cheers

Great advice here. Buffalo Sweat and Vanilla Buffalo Sweat are a great starting point for something I expect you can offer that not a lot of people have access to.

You'll want to check out seekabrew.com, it's a bit out of date but a great starting point to ensure you're not sending something that could've been found on your recipient's nearest beer store shelf.

Expect to ship first and do research on everyone you are going to trade with. Check trading feedback mostly and then do a quick forum search for their name to see if any bad trader threads have been posted about them. Also look into what beers trade for by looking through the trade forums and this forum to give you an idea about what beers trade for and so you don't get taken advantage of. You can also message more experienced BAs to get their opinion on a trade. I found that petty helpful when I was new. But most importantly have fun. This is a time consuming and sometimes expensive hobby but it is also a lot of fun. Welcome!
